Im in my mid 20's and love to get creative in the kitchen. Everything I know about cooking, I learned from my father, who made everything from scratch. I was deprived of most processed foods as a child and I blame this for my food/cooking obsession.
My favorite things to cook
I have some Italian blood flowing through my veins, so naturally I'm a pasta lover. I enjoy trying my hand at restaurant copy-cat recipes and over the top desserts that challenge my abilities.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Anything involving an extensive process. My dad always had something simmering in the crock pot or on the stove top. I strongly remember home being filled with food smells. Holidays of course and as a mother, I love finding new things that my kids enjoy helping with. Creating memories in the kitchen is important.
My cooking triumphs
My black pepper encrusted pork tenderloin with cherry reduction....Its divine and I've never received a complaint! I really enjoy cooking with wine as well as using herbs Ive grown myself. Basil being my favorite.
My cooking tragedies
Ive had many when it comes to baking. Its definitely not my forte, but I'm willing to keep trying!
