Country Green Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
I loved it! The only things I did different was that I used frozen green beans, Earth Balance butter (I'm on a dairy-free diet) and 4 slices of turkey bacon. I will make this again! :)

Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
This was great! I only used 1/2 cup of whipping cream because that was all I had left. I also used 4oz. of blue cheese just to use up the entire package. Delicious! :)

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
I really liked the simple flavor of this bread! I followed previous reviewers' suggestions and reduced the sugar to 2 cups and used 1 cup white and 1 cup brown sugar. I also added an extra cup of grated zucchini. I baked it for 55 minutes. I should have tested it with a fork to see if it was cooked through because it fell in the middle!! Oh well, the outer parts were cooked and were delicious! :)

Tonkatsu - Asian-style Pork Chop

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
I thought these tasted great!! But, the egg mixture and the panko crumbs were only enough for 4 of my pork chops. Maybe I did something wrong, but it came out fine and that's all that matters! :)

The Ultimate Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
I followed Jill's advice and added the extra seasonings and the corn starch to thicken it. It was great, but a little too spicy for me! Maybe next time I'll cut back a little on the 'heat' or just follow the original recipe. :)

Best Ziti Ever

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
This recipe makes a lot of food and was very easy to make! It tasted pretty good, too! My boyfriend loved it!! I couldn't find ricotta in a 12oz size, so I bought the 15oz. I also used 12oz of shredded mozzarella and 4oz of shredded sharp cheddar cheese because I love cheddar! I think the next time I make this, I will find a more flavorful marinara sauce or add extra spices!

Crustless Spinach Quiche

This was very good!! I used cheddar cheese instead since that was all I had on hand, but it still came out great! :)

Kickin' Collard Greens

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
This recipe makes really good collard greens!! The only thing I did differently was use 5 strips of bacon instead of 3. :)

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
This was very good!! I did what other reviewers have done and marinated the chicken in teriyaki sauce overnight. I also added the cheese and bacon bits 15 minutes before I took it out of the oven, and that turned out well. :)

Green Bean Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
Wow, this was sooo good! I usually don't like green beans, but I loved the flavor of this dish! The only thing that I did differently was omit the sesame seeds since I didn't have any and used frozen green beans. Next time I'll have to try it with fresh green beans. :)

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
I've never made stuffing from scratch before, and I'm happy that this came out so well and tasted great!! I used Jimmy Dean Sage sausage that other reviewers suggested, and I used 3 tablespoons dried parsley flakes since I couldn't find them fresh. I also used a 14 ounce can of chicken broth, omitted the turkey liver, and baked this in a 9x13 baking dish for 40 minutes covered and 20 minutes uncovered. It was soooo good!! I love it! :)

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
I was looking for a sweet potato side dish to make for Thanksgiving, and I'm happy I made this!! I followed other reviewers' suggestions and baked 3 sweet potatoes for an hour and a half, and used brown sugar instead of white. I also doubled the topping mixture since it looked kind of sparse (except for the chopped pecans, which I kept at 1/2 cup). I couldn't stop eating it out of the baking dish, it was just that good!! :)

German Apple Cake II

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
This cake is really, really good!! The first time I made it, I halved all the ingredients and used a 9x9" pan for 45 minutes. The second time, I used half the vanilla extract in the frosting to really taste the cream cheese flavor, and it came out good, too! Thank you for such a good recipe! I'm adding this to my recipe collection! :)
