Sausage Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2014
I've made this recipe twice and it was recommended by my son. These were made while camping using indirect heat on our BBQ grill. I cooked them on aluminum pans so no clean up. These did take longer than the 60 minutes but the second time I prepped the jalapeƱos at home. I used hot Chorizo from my favorite butcher and it was not hot at all. The next time I make these, I will precook the bacon so it will crisp a little faster. No one in camp was disappointed from the youngest 8 year old to us older folks. I will definitely make these again using one of the previous tips by precooking the bacon a little before wrapping just to help crisp the bacon. Thanks for the recipe it's awesome.

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2014
I always look for recipes for fried rice when I have pork or poultry leftovers. This recipe was perfect for what I wanted. I read some of the reviews about the pepper after the fact but I only used half of what it calls for. I can always add more. I believe this to be a basic recipe that you can add whatever you like. I will use again.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
I just assembled all of my ingredients to make these cookies AGAIN. My only adjustment was to increase the recipe to make 120 cookies. I first took them to a dinner for the children who are very hard to please. One wanted peanut butter the other oatmeal. I searched and found this one. They were a big hit and the parents were amazed the kids liked the same cookie. This was a first. Of course now my husband requests them all the time. I made no changes except to make sure I just mixed the oats until just combined. Michele, Thanks for sharing this recipe. This is mine and my sisters favorite peanut butter cookie recipe now.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2009
I've made chili many, many times but not one to use a recipe for it. I tried this recipe because it was recommended, easy to make and looked like it would satisfy all tastes (I tend to make mine way too hot). I only made one change but not one I planned. I accidently opened a can of black beans so decided to just add it with the kidney and pinto beans. Great consistancy!! I figured it would be runny with all the liquid added. Wanted to stick with the recipe as listed before I made a change. I will definitely keep this as my favorite basic chili recipe and know that it will please the kids and my parent. Thanks for the recipe.

Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
I love this recipe and have made it with no changes at all and then adding a few favorite spices. Great for company and wonderful as a quick breakfast. It keeps very nicely and love it for a quick breakfast for the early risers. One of my favorites. I have to add to my review and say I make this all the time. My family is not one for cereal, so I make it and keep it in the refrigerator. It reheats very well. Since we like a little kick to our food, I use Hot sausage and add green chili once in a while.
