Heather's Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
Followed recipe exactly-ish. Instead of the chicken seasoning I used Old Bay. Really great fried chicken. All the neighbors and family loved it. Thanks Heather!

Italian Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: May 10, 2012
Super Yummy and Super Easy! I baked them as suggested by another reviewer at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. I pounded out 2 of the 3 breasts and those had a lot more flavor from the marinade than the one I left alone. But they all tasted great!

Pork Steaks

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
I followed directions exactly including using green onions, but also dredged it in flour mixture of garlic powder and black pepper like another reviewer suggested. No heat level was directed in the recipe so I cooked them in a cast iron skillet over medium low heat and they turned out real good and the sauce turned into a nice thick gravy. Served it with rice which did help with the saltiness of the sauce. Will definitely make again! Thanks, BabyLove1222 for posting this

A Nice Slow-Cooked Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
I like crock pot recipes and this one is a keeper. I followed other reviewers suggestions on reducing the liquid. I used 2 cups veggie broth and 3/4 cup sherry and had PLENTY of liquid after it got done cooking. I will probably just use one cup of each next time. I roughly chopped a white onion in big chunks instead of pearl onions and also added some carrots chopped the same way. One last thing, I should have left the mushrooms whole like in the pic. Didn't realize how much they would shrink :-) Overall a great recipe. Thanks Lori, for posting it!

Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
I made this the day after the Superbowl and it was GREAT! Felt hearty and light at the same time, just what we needed on our stomaches. I followed it as directed except added a few onions and green peppers when I cooked the sausage. Thanks ChefMommy for posting this!

Spam® Puffs

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
I've never had Spam before so I'm going to rate this with 3 stars. I've never had Spam before and I didn't like them, BUT my husband had Spam as a kid and he likes them so and as long as he is happy, I'm happy :) I'm not going to make this again, but he might. Followed the recipe, minus the cayenne pepper. Thank you Kerry for posting this, just not my thing.

Hash Brown and Egg Casserole

Really good! I followed another reviewer's suggestion and added a can of cream of mushroom soup to it. Other than that kept it all the same. Easy Smeasy :)

Cinnasweet Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
Great recipe! Only had 2 cups of seeds from the pumpkins and I did boil them in salt water for @ 20 minutes. Completely dried them and followed the directions exactly EXCEPT lowered the temp of the oven to @ 275 degrees, just like everyone else who reviewed this suggested. Next year all of the seeds will be used for this recipe. Happy Halloween!

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
First time making these. They tasted pretty good. I followed the recipe exactly. I did boil the seeds in salt water and dried them before baking them. Would follow other reviewers suggestions and add a bit more seasoning. A lot of work for not a lot of product but it just makes you appreciate them more :) Thanks to Carolyn for posting this recipe. Happy Halloween!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
Yep - the name of this recipe just about says it all, except that it tastes AWESOME, too :) Followed recipe exactly but did add a couple of stalks of celery to it. Thanks Marie, for posting this basic recipe that most think they know, but don't really know.

Ham and Bean Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
I used canned 2 cans of Navy beans and 1 can of Northern beans, but besides that didn't add anything else. Cooked in a slow cooker all day and turned out very, very good! Pretty easy to make. This one will be made again!

Ken's Perfect Hard Boiled Egg (And I Mean Perfect)

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2010
It's hard not to give this recipe a 5 star rating, considering how simple the directions are. BUT, I give it a 5 star rating because I didn't know how long to boil an egg and after they were done, the eggs pealed very easily after sitting in the ice water for @ 30 minutes. Thanks Ken for a recipe that we should know but not all of us do know.

Crunchy Cheese Nibblers

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
I made 2 batches of these for a birthday party. I followed the directions exactly except I used Sour Cream and Onion chips in one and BBQ in the other. The BBQ batch had a lot more flavor and will experiment with different types of cheese. This is a great recipe as it was easy to do and made quite a bit. I did have to bake them twice as long to get golden brown. Thanks for posting this recipe, Janis!

Broccoli Sausage Breakfast Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
I doubled this recipe and added some roma tomatoes from the garden and it turned out GREAT!! I turned down the temp of the oven to about 300 - 325 degrees and cooked it for about 45 minutes. I love a recipe that is so simple and easy but makes me look like I know what I'm doing! Thanks Kara

Greasy Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2010
This is a GREAT recipe! I used lemon juice and garlic powder instead. Added chopped onion when I melted the butter. Cooked the chicken in a wok in all of its marinade for 25 minutes over medium heat as suggested and also added a bit of honey to offset some of the saltiness, also as suggested by other reviewers. Added half a bag of frozen peas and carrots during the last 7 minutes of cooking, probably should have put them in a bit sooner, but this dinner turned out AWESOME! Served over rice. Thanks for posting this, Gary

Good recipe! I also used a shallow glass baking dish. Sauted onion and pepper as directed and tossed in the ham for a couple of minuted before combining all of it before baking. It looks good and tasted garden fresh! Thanks, Melinda
