my perfect tomato
About this Cook
The little picture I choose to represent me is a picture of the first tomato I ever grew. I know it's kind of dorky, but isn't it beautiful?
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook pretty much everything at least once. If there are 30 steps and that many ingredients I will probably pass on a recipe though.
My cooking triumphs
Every time my husband and kids say "Hey that was really good!"
My cooking tragedies
Every time my husband and kids say, "Hey can we have macaroni and cheese insead?"

Brownie Frosting
So I was desperate for chocolate frosting and had no chips, or bars, or even chocolate bunnies anywhere in the house!! I decided to use this as a base recipe and see if I couldn't get creative. I substituted baking cocoa for the chips. I halved the recipe because I figured it wouldn't turn out. So I used about 3/4 of a cup of baking cocoa and 3 more tbsps of butter. I brought all except the cocoa to a boil for 30 seconds, then stirred in the cocoa. I had to really whisk it to get the lumps out. Then I added about a cup of confectioners sugar to sweeten it up a bit. It actually turned out!!! The frosting came out smooth and satiny and looked gorgeous!!! The taste is definitely dark but compliments sweeter treats perfectly!! So thanks for a great starter and some good ideas!!

Sweet and Sour Meatballs III
OUTSTANDING!! I have made this on several occasions and have gotten raves each and every time. I myself am not a huge fan of kraut but my husband is so I compramised. I used almost a whole can of Bavarian kraut and a pinch of regular. Bavarian is milder and sweeter. thanks for the great recipe!!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III
It throws together in a jiff! I think I had this mixed up and in the oven in less than 10 minutes. I was a little disappointed with the flavor, I thought it could have been a little more chocolatly. Then again my husband thought it was great as is, and I am a self confessed chocoholic, so there is always room for more chocolate me!!
