General Tsao's Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
The flavors are spot on, however DO NOT use that much corn starch. The results are comical, yes, but not edible.

This was a big hit for dinner last night. I used Gala apples and they didn't fall apart. I will defiantly make this again.

Marilyn's Green Beans Italiano

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2011
I followed the directions exactly and did not care for this recipe. The bread crumbs fell off and got gummy. It wasn't pretty.

Bacon and Mushroom Spaghetti

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
This is great! I added a little basil and used whole tomatoes instead of the sauce. I also used whole wheat pasta, not that it matters much, just a different texture to me. I served this with garlic bread.

Curried Coconut Chicken

I love this ! it reminds me of a Nigerian dish that my dad used to make that called for peanut butter. My roomie can't get enough of this stuff, it's one of the only things we could both agree on making.... i always top with fresh friut and cashews.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
these were great. i had to sub 1tbsp honey+ 1c. granulated sugar for the brown sugar since i was out, and i never buy molasses. also i suggest moving the racks in your oven towards the middle, if they aren't allready there. mine were positioned at the top and bottom of the oven and the top ones pretty much melted and the bottom ones were ok, except they were a little crispy (not quite burnt) on the outside edge by the time i got around to checking them, although they were still raw looking in the middle (moved them to the top and it fixed that). just take the extra step and save the headache.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2010
I love this! I make a full batch on Sunday, and then portion it out and eat it on weekdays for a quick (unhealthy) lunch. I add ham and garlic powder, and skip the mustard. I also opt for whole grain pasta. if you skip the mustard i suggest putting something in to replace it because the sharp cheese needs to be cut with something or else it's overpowering. I think if you think the sauce to macaroni ratio is off, you're probably not boiling it down far enough.

Vegetarian Cottage Cheese Patties

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
I halved the recipe and skipped the cream of mushroom and ate it with ketchup and a side of spicy fries. i realized that i don't like the taste of thyme, but im not going to nitpick. i added a handful of shreaded cheese and i used beefy onion soup instead of original onion soup, because i was cooking for myself, and im not a vegetarian. i have lots of leftover, but i don't know if i'll use it because of the thyme, i'd rather start from scratch and omit it. My roommate is too picky to even try it, but i liked it very well.

Mississippi Mud Brownies

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
Theese are really sweet, but they are good. i tried it to duplicate a brownie that i had in a resturant and it was really close. i really suggest halfing this recipe because it it too much unless you have a lot of people to eat them.

i give the pancakes 5 stars. they are the best. and remind me of banana bread. i didn't like the topping much. they were better with regular syrup.

my family loved it. the loaf pans i used wer bigger than i thought so most of the cinnamon ended up close to the top and i tried to stir deeper to make sure the swirls reached the bottom. i used pecans because im allergic to walnuts.

Aunt Hazel's Apple Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2007
first off, i seriously hate oatmeal cookies, so i am not qualified to give my personal opinion of theese cookies. with that out of the way, my dad said he wanted theese instead of a birthday cake and the people at the nursing home chose theese over any type of cookie offered. i guess for oatmeal cookies they were pretty good. 5 stars.

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
wonderful. I tried this one because i did not have any cake mix to use for my other recipe. theese are actually better. i did my own thing for the frosting and filling, but the dough is really wonderful, after adding more flour, and letting them raise for an hour and a half.
