Grilled Cheese and Veggie Sandwich

I am really rating the idea, not the recipe as is...In a million years I never would have thought to put coleslaw mix on my grilled cheese! I figured I would give it a shot and I am SO glad I did! I liked the creaminess of the cheese, then the crispness of the slaw mix. I will definitely be adding it to my grilled cheeses from now on!

Gail's Seven Layer Salad

I gave this a 4, only because I changed a few things...I used black beans instead of pinto, and I also used Hidden Valley Ranch's Spicy Southwest Ranch. This is delicious, and even the "non-salad" type guys gobbled it up!

Ham 'n' Cheese Egg Bake

This was very good, and nice and easy! My modifications were as follows... it was Lent, so I left out the Ham. I didn't even let it sit overnight, and I was out of flour, so that was left out. It was the first thing gone at the scrapping retreat!

Cheesecake Topped Brownies

They were good, and I didn't have any problem with the layers seperating, but they needed "something". I might try the orange liquer idea. Also- the brownie was way gooey in the middle. I'll have to grab an oven thermometer.

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

This is a 4 because of the ease. A nice hot filling meal, and it took very little time to make. It was good, but not great, so next time I would add some onion for sure, and maybe something else to jazz it up a bit. Was a nice change from chicken. LOL

Marzetti® Red, White and Blue Slaw

Salsa Chicken

The chicken was very moist, I really liked it like this. I just sprinkled the seasoning on, and I actually forgot about the cheese. The sour cream and salsa made a nice little sauce though, and I served it with corn and brown rice. Tasty!

Curried Wild Rice and Squash Soup

I did a few things different- I used a box of frozen squash, and I did not put it in a blender or food processor. I used only 1/4 c. of oj too. This was very good, even my 4 year old daughter had seconds! If you want it heartier, I bet chicken would be great in here.
