Hearty Turkey Stew with Vegetables

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2013
Yummy in my tummy! This is what I did. In large pot, Sautéed carrots, celery, onion, and garlic in butter until soft. Transferred vegetables to another dish. In same pot, put in tablespoon of olive oil and added raw diced turkey (organic) until cooked. Then added 32 oz carton chicken stock and seasoning. Then added the potatoes. Brought soup to a boil and then simmered on low for a few hours. Omitted flour as didn't think it was necessary. Also seasoned the turkey with s&p before adding to pot. Really good!

Unbelievably Awesome Barbeque Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2013
Yum! I used shredded chicken instead of chicken breast, and tossed it in BBQ sauce. I also used fresh pizza dough because I prefer it over pre made. Didn't use red onion or cilantro as I didn't have any but didn't miss it. Will make this again.

Tortellini Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2013
I used chicken sausage and homemade bone broth. I didn't use canned tomatoes or tomato sauce, rather 1/2 can Tom paste per another reviewer. I omitted green peppers because I don't care for them in soup. I also used fresh tortellini and I think that made the difference. Will make again!

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2012
I used BBQ sauce as I didn't have Teryaki and it was delicious. The ranch, scallions, cheddar, bacon combo may be nice over pomme frites or a baked potato too. I used real bacon.

Macaroni and Cheese with Caramelized Onions and Bacon

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
If you know someone that is a Mac n cheese snob (like me) feed them this! Awesome. Make sure you have a few hours to devote to making, as it involves several steps. I used a whole package of bacon and half the amount of cheese and it still turned out fantastic. Try this at least once, after tasting it you, will find out it's worth the effort.

Blueberry Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
Modified recipe a little and I think it worked out to my advantage. Used 1/4 c brown sugar, only 1 tsp baking powder, and skipped the topping. I added 2 tsp of cinnamon, and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Also added a pinch of ground clove. Really good!

Overnight Tuna Casserole

So easy and so good! I added an additional can of tuna and used a little leftover yellow onion, instead of green onions. Also used cheddar cheese slices, because that is what I had. Will make again!

Quinoa Pilaf with Shredded Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
Vegetarians can also enjoy this dish. Just sub veg stock for chicken. Once quinoa is cooked separate into two dishes so chicken can be added to one dish and the other, you can add whatever meat substitute you wish. I took on the suggestion of another reviewer and added chick peas to mine. Yum!

Quinoa Porridge

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
I added an additional 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and omitted the vanilla. I also used 1 cup milk, no water. Next time I will reduce the brown sugar a bit as it was a tad sweet. Overall very good. Will make again.

Outrageously Buttery Crumb Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Too bad, I had high hopes for this cake. The cake did not cook all the way and most of the crumb topping sunk towards the middle. The outer edges were cooked but I had to thow this away. Cooked it in a 13x 9 glass dish, but followed everything else to a T. So disappointed this was a waste of money. I think I'll stick to crumb cake at my local coffee shop.
