Lemon Pepper Zucchini

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2007
This recipe was a great starting point. I made the following changes: greatly reduced the Lemon Pepper - just lightly sprinkled less than a tablespoon. Used 1 tablespoon melted butter. Also sprinkled with a small amount of garlic powder (about 1 tsp.). Added grated parmesan cheese during the last 5 minutes of cooking. I can understand why others thought even one tablespoon of Lemon Pepper was too much - the citrus really comes through. Thanks for the idea, JJ!

Rib Eye Steaks with a Soy and Ginger Marinade

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
Meat was very tender. Flavor not to our liking - too sweet and the sesame oil flavor was too strong even though I cut it in half.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
Great flavor and very moist. As suggested by others, I decreased the olive oil to 1/8 cup, increased the chicken broth to 2 cups, sauted the garlic in olive oil, and used garlic salt instead of garlic powder. So easy and didn't bother basting, just turned the chops over half way through the 4 hours. Wonderful new recipe for our household. Thanks, ERINVDIX!

Beer and Soy Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
Hubby gave this 3 stars and I gave it 4 so really earned a 3 1/2 stars. Hubby said didn't have enough flavor. I thought it had a nice flavor even though I don't like beer. It was moist.

Blueberry Streusel Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
One of hubby's favorite new recipes. Each time we have it he comments on how good it is. I split the sugar with splenda (half sugar/half Splenda). I also didn't have enough flour on hand so used Bisquick mix in place of flour, baking powder, and salt. Delicious!!! Thanks, Eunice!

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
Very easy and moist. Great flavor. I marinated for about 6 hours. Placed chops and marinade in a baking dish and cooked for around 45 minutes, turning the chops every 15 minutes. Thanks Sherlock for a great new way to prepare pork chops.!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
Easy and flavorful! Used only four frozen breasts and had plenty of sauce left over. I did rotate and turn the breasts half way through the 7 hour cooking time. Thanks Zanne!

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
Very good. I did reduce the brown sugar (used only 1 cup) as suggested by others and increased the ground cinnamon to 1 1/2 teaspoons. Plus reduced the butte to 1 cup. I used frozen berries and tossed them with the white sugar (actually used Splenda) and added a little cornstarch. It was delicious - not too sweet but very flavorful!! Thanks Polly!

Pretty Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
Nice blend of flavors. This will become a regular in our house. I did marinate the chicken for over 6 hours and did not find that the lemon started to cook the chicken. I use many marinades that take 24 hours and contain lemon and have never had any adverse effect on the meat. Thanks TaraNicole!

This burger was okay. Hubby liked it but I thought it was rather bland. Very juicy.

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2007
I followed the recipe exactly and it was delicious - hubby thought so too. I did have to add about 7 minutes to the cooking time for the toothpick to come out clean but that could be my oven. Thanks Carol!

This was delicious and so easy. I substituted the prepared mustard with honey mustard and used low fat mayonnaise. This recipe will definitely repeated in our house. Thanks DeAnn!

Super Simple Oven Barbequed Chicken

I should have doubled the sauce (and that was just for two breasts). A little over cooked at 1 hour - will cut back on baking time next go around.

BBQ Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
Very moist (which isn't easy to do with a tri-tip) but not quite enough flavor even though it was marinated overnight. Did use apple cider vinegar as suggested by others.

Nice subtle flavor. I marinated the chops over night and they were nice and moist. If you are looking for a bolder flavor try "Oriental Pork Chops". Thanks BennyTwo5.

Garlic Chicken

Not a lot of flavor but the chicken was moist. I will try marinating the chicken in the oil and garlic next time and maybe add a little garlic powder to the dry mix too.

Succulent Grilled Hickory Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2007
Smelled great but not much flavor (even though I marinated the chops overnight). The hickory taste was there but not much else. However, the chops were moist.
