Easy Lemon-Blueberry Jam

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2007
This was super easy & set up perfectly. The flavors blend very nicely, not too tart, not too sweet. Made about 27oz total jam.

Lauren's Sugar and Spice Black Pepper Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2009
These are absolutely amazing! I did have to add about 3/4 cups of flour. I might add alittle more pepper next time but that would be it. Everyone loved them!!! So good with tea or coffee. Very delicate, not chewey or crunchy or too soft. Baked alittle longer than stated until the tops cracked abit.

Almond French Toast

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2007
This was wonderful! I used the sliced almond accents since I did not have anything else on hand & regular sliced bread. Next time I will use the loaf ~ thicker slices would be a nice change. Thanks so much for this recipe!

Holiday Peppermint Bark

great recipe. I chopped candy canes in my food processor. Did the layer of dark chocolate let that set up then added the white chocolate + 1tsp mint extract, peppermint pieces & then swirled slightly with a butter knive.

Ma Lipo's Apricot-Glazed Turkey with Roasted Onion and Shallot Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
Very good & flavorful! I normally bake this in a reynolds oven bag upside down. The first year I made the apricot glaze & onions then added to the bag with the turkey prior to baking. The second year I made that part seperate & served on the side once the bird was carved. Having it on the side was more flavorful, instead of the broth & drippings from the bird diluting the apricot sauce.

Jalapeno Jelly

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
I addded 1cup of fresh raspberries to this & also used the box of pectin instead of the liquid. This is a very good recipe. The only thing is it could have been a touch thicker or more set. I even cooked a second time & added another full box of pectin which did help. I could have done something wrong, but that would be the only thing I wasn't happy with ~ flavor is great.

Blackberry Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
This was amazing! I added 1/2 cup of chocolate chips that was in another recipe since I could not decide which one to try. The combo of flavors was unusual & very good. This is not a "runny" fruit pie, very dense. Actually once it had totally cooled you could cut the pie slice, then pick up & eat it like you would a bar cookie or brownie! Thanks

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
These are the best potatoes. They are not a light fluffy type but a heavier mashed potatoe great with gravy. I usually make a double or triple batch & freeze in gallon size ziplock bags. They thaw out great & are not loose or watered down when reheated.

Pumpkin Chocolate Dessert Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2007
I would probably say 3.5 stars. This was just okay for us. The glaze did end up being very sweet & grainy even though I did it very carefully & used a whisk. The cake is very dense but moist. Not really sweet at all except for the glaze.
