Amazing Butternut Squash

I used sour cream because we don't like mayo, I think also used more than 1/2 cup. No sugar either. It was delicious. Definitely a keeper. I was glad to find it.

Hot Pepper Jelly

anyone who has this not set should simply switch to Pomona brand pectin and use about 3 tsp calcium water and 2 1/2 tsp pectin. Pomona gives you much better instructions and I have not ever had a jelly or jam not set. You can thank me later ;-)

Barbecue Ribs

The recipe as is is too bland and sweet. I make 2x the recipe, use 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup molasses instead of 2 cups of sugar. I also would suggest using half the asian style chili sauce that others mention, and half the 'ketchup' style one. I too baked them and boiled them and the baked ones are a ton better. 2.5 hours at 325 F using some simple dry rub recipe (don't think it matters which).

Crusty White Bread

Using all purpose flour I used at least 2 extra cups, if not more. Eh, that's fine but a recipe is supposed to give exact amounts. I think you can reduce the amount of yeast (makes it cheaper) without bad results. I used molasses instead of sugar. Right now I am trying this with 1/3 rye flour....
