Pasta with Hot Sausage Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2008
This was delicious - I'm not a fan of capers and don't keep them around so I left those out, I don't think it mattered. It was also easy and tasted so much better then opening a jar of sauce. Yum.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
Delicious. My son had friends over and they wiped it out. I used a ricer to lightly mash the potatoes to get a creamy consistency. I also threw in some pre-cooked bacon. I didn't have any celery so I added a bit of celery seed, seemed to work just fine. I would say this makes 5-6 servings, not 8.

Butternut Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2008
Very good & easy to make. I also used chicken broth since it was all I had on hand, and it tastes fine. Used fat free 1/2 + 1/2 also.

Carrot Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
Not as good as I'd hoped it would be. A bit dry and somewhat lacking in flavor. I'll continue to look for a better recipe.

My first attempt at a cobbler. This was easy & delicious. Definitely a keeper. Per others, I used slightly less sugar, and it was sweet enough.

Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 15, 2006
Good. I used less seasoning salt. I couldn't get the water to evaporate so I drained it into a bowl and used wondra to make a gravy. Served over the chops & mashed potatoes.

Slow Cooker Guisado Verde

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2006
Yum yum. I had a pork tenderloin so I cut that up into cubes and used that. I cooked it on the stove, no time for the slow cooker. I simmered about 1 hour, maybe because it was tenderloin, the meat was very tender. The whole family loved this including my 15 year old son & my 75 year old mother. Served with crusty bread.

Chicken with Couscous

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2004
Delicious, everyone in our family loved it. Left out the jalapenos, added apple chunks and red pepper slices. Would have liked more juice, will increase the amount next time so we can mix it with the couscous.
