The Best Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
I gave this a 4-Star rating because of the use of the cube steak..and the ingredients..I read the other Chicken Fried Steak-recipes and thought that they were not as good(looking)..I tried to make this recipe from just hearing its title-name/and mine came out quite weird looking/will try this recipe..thanks.

Salmon Cakes III

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
I only gave this RECIPE a 3-STAR rating because it says(UNDRAINED) but yes this is a recipe I use(its basic)..I would also suggest that a CANNED SALMON be pre-baked in a 400[F]OVEN/while some bread crumb is used to make it crispy/spraying some Veggie Oil helps during that process(I use a Ketchup-squirt Bottle).

Hot Dog Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2008
pretty cool..I consider myself to be a HOT DOG addict/toppings and all the gore..//..I make a hot dog pizza..nice simple meal..hot dogs are a very cheap supply of animal protein..I lift weights and at times I use hot dogs for protein.

Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
As a very good recipe its 4-star/it needs some French White Table Wine(Cuvee Blanc)by Georges DubCEuf/Worcheshire-sauce maybe on the side/I think some Vegatarians don't consider DAIRY-VEG./so there's a selection in the recipe..Garlic(maybe not)..Leeks would be good/...very nice combination in a simple sauce.

Penne Pasta with Cannellini Beans and Escarole

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2007
I have eaten this recipe my whole life..my Mom would refer to it as a medicine..along w/poached eggs and toast or toast diced into a soft boiled egg..the two have always been very healthy-winter's coming time for such things//I have a experiment to try..I have been making my own pasta and I saved the water I used to boil a good size batch(1-lb)I re-used the very hot water to soak some Northern beans(they seemed to grow larger even before completly cooked(flour in the water)..so I really need to try boiling some beans with some flour in the water too see if they grow in size..I cook my beans over a 2-3 day period..I boil(usually Navy Beans)for a single hour and then turn off the heat and just let them sit until cool enough for the FRIDGE//where they sit until the next day--I finish them over the next day or a third day..but I need to try SOAKING--in some floured water//[end]

Jay's Jerk Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2007
#I tried a version of my own and this dry rub and over-nite marinade method is very good/I really prefer the chicken pieces over the Breast meat I like to thinly slice my chicken breast for coatings and fry/bake maintains the juices nicely useing chicken parts adds that savory-sloppy-juicy aspect of eating w/the hands and I like to use poultry bones for broth/stored in the freezer I haven't used CLOVES-yet but this recipe is next in line w/CLOVES/great recipe. #Next-day/going for the ingredients on this one. #WELL/I brought the ingredients home from the supermarket/and I really can't bring myself to use the Soy Sauce-I think it would mess the Spices up a bit/SOOooo/I'm dropping the Soy Sauce and going with everything else..I would prefer a drier-RUB to a BBQ-sauce..I'll prepare this in Cast Iron..and then maybe some oven-Baking/I got Chicken Breast(w/skin)../I'll take a picture. #2-hours marinade time seems to get the meat flavored/the GREEN ONION is a very nice touch..15-more-minutes and I'll look at the next step(Cast Iron)/the picture shows a red colored recipe/I'm checking that step at this time. #A very nice recipe/I made chicken-thighs(not breasts)w/bones..and I floured the parts(8-piece)/I fry'd in some oil..useing cast iron..and finished in a 350-degree[F]Oven for 50-minutes..the flour was done after frying..and placed on a rack inside a large cookie sheet.

Krazy Garlic Trout

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2007
I like the recipe..I don't usually add a Hot Pepper to a garlic recipe..but I have tried some jalopena's over the past two weeks..and they usually reveal their taste when chewed..so I placed one whole-jalopena in my small Food Processor/and blended it w/Veg. Oil..I strained the oil and used the crushed pepper in a tomato sauce..the Veg. Oil I would use on such a recipe as KRAZY Garlic Trout/the HOTness was medium to hot.

I like recipes that will offer High-nutrition for my Backpacking and Hiking..this recipe I chose as a side dish for KOKONUTGRL/pork chops and fruit over rice..I like it also as a meal in-itself/might work well in a Pastry-type POT PIE,,will try it/simple.

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2007
Nice recipe..I don't eat alot of Red Meat these days but have now collected 2-recipes that have steak as the main-ingredient..I think the garlic powder is a good idea/I usually just saute' 6-8 gloves until tender and smash them with a wooden utensil(into the butter)while still in the saute' pan..I might add the Butter/Garlic to some StringBeans/instead of brushing the steak..and pile the StringBeans atop the steak..try a cast iron fry pan for stove top searing(also)I use an old Pressure Cooker Pot for larger poultry searing..useing a Glass cover from some other pot I discarded long ago/I removed its handle so as to place in a 375-degree oven.
