French Pastry Pie Crust

This is the pie crust recipe I have been using for years (I was passed on to me by my grandmother), except I use milk instead of the water and I add a pinch of baking soda. I usually make a large recipe and freeze the (uncooked) leftovers in ziplock bags. Believe it or not, I think it's even better and flakier after it's been frozen!!!

Caesar Salad Supreme

Wonderful!! The anchovies are an absolute must... and it doesn't taste fishy at all. Since I couldn't find any anchovies at the grocery store, I ended up buying anchovy paste at my local Fishery. So I replaced the anchovies for anchovy paste. Tasted great and the paste can keep fresh for a good while in the fridge. This salad tasted so good, I won't be able to go back to store-bought salad dressing!!

Baklava

SOOOOOOooooooooo good!! very easy to do, but it is time consuming.. I had friends dropping in at my place for days just to get an other bite! I made them from walnuts and almonds, but next time i'll try almond and pistachios. And I really didn't find them to be too sweet like some reviewers mentionned..

Alaskan BBQ Salmon

LOVED this salmon!! I will definitely add this to my favorite BBQ recipes. I marinated the salmon maybe 20 minutes, but next time I'll let the sauce marinate longer to make sure I get the most flavor in.. Can't wait to make it again for guests! MMMMmmm

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Great summer salad!! Very colorful. It is really fruity with a little sweet yet tangy taste from the dressing. I followed one of the reviewer's advice and put all the ingredients for the dressing in the blender. It was very quick to make. The only thing I changed was that I added blueberries to the salad along with the strawberries. Yummy!!

Hot Peanut Sauce

Wowww!! My boyfriend and I LOVED this peanut sauce... Even better than in the restaurants! I followed the recipe to the letter and served it on top of Asian grilled chicken breasts and Jasmine rice. It was so good, we even fought over the last spoonfuls of sauce!! Would be great too with fresh spring rolls. It's definitely a keeper..

Grilled Asian Chicken

I made this recipe for the first time tonight. I was afraid it was going to be too dry on its own so I prepared a peanut sauce to go with it... The chicken ended up soooo juicy and delicious it didn't even need the sauce I had made. We did it just like it said on the recipe: marinated it 15 minutes and then basted it with the remainder of the marinade while it cooked on the BBQ. I served it with Jasmine rice and a spinach and strawberry salad. MMmm... We'll definitely make this one again!!

Spinach Pear Salad with Warm Vinaigrette

Very good salad!! we're not used to blue cheese, but it blended in really well with the other ingredients. I used a very ripe fresh pear, it was great! The only suggestion I have is cut back a little on the oil and add a little molasses to the vinegrette to give it a little somthing extra. MMmmmm...

That Good Salad
