Buttermilk Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
delicious! this made enough for me to make a bundt and a round pound cake. I think 90 min is about 15 min too long for cooking time.

Bread Machine Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
This was great and so easy to make. I followed other reviewers suggestions and added 1tsp of garlic powder and 1tsp of basil to the ingredients. I also baked the crust for 5-7 min in the oven before putting the toppings on. Then baked with the toppings for 15-20min. Will definitely be using this recipe often. It was not thin or thick...kind of in between.

OREO® Triple Layer Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
SOOOOO GOOD, but with these ingredients, how could it not be? I followed the recipe exactly and loved it. Put it directly in the freezer after making so it would "set" quicker because I'm pregnant and couldn't wait 4 hours. If I were serving this to guests, I would put it in the freezer 1 hour before serving to make sure the slices looked nice when cutting.

Best Tuna Melt (New Jersey Diner Style)

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
This was so good, and my husband said it was the best tuna melt he had ever had. I followed the recipe with the following exceptions: added 1 clove of garlic to the tuna, used low fat mayo, used 1 teaspoon of dried parsley instead of 1 tablespoon of fresh, and used provolone cheese instead of swiss. Also, I had made Jo's Rosemary Bread (from this website) earlier in the week in my breadmaker. Used that bread for these sandwiches instead of rye. I also followed another reviewers suggestion and broiled the bread on both sides for 1-2 min before adding the tuna and stuff. Wonderful. Will make many times again.

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

I'm giving this 4 stars when I really don't know what it deserves...I used minute rice which was a huge mistake. Will be making again with a different kind of rice. the leftovers turned into mush.

Pasta Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
Meh. Ok, but not great. Would be great as a freezer "cook ahead" meal, but other than that I will probably not make it again. Maybe I added too much pasta.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Very yummy and it does taste just like macaroni grill's bread! We had this with Chicken Parmesean. Delicious. I'm going to use the rest of the loaf to make grilled cheese.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
A very good basic white bread recipe. The first bread I baked in my new bread maker! A few days later I used the leftover bread to make cinnamon french toast. It was the best french toast my husband has ever had :)

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
Amazing. Seriously the best ever. I would eat these everyday if it wouldn't make me fat. I followed the instructions but just made more icing (so I could use the whole brick of cream cheese). I used another reviewers suggestion on preparing them the day before and on the icing: "I make these to the point where they are placed in the baking dish, then I cover them with plastic wrap and put them in the refrigerator for the night. The next day, they go into a COLD oven (minus the plastic wrap!). Turn up the heat to 350 and bake for 25-30 minutes. There is no need to let them sit out. I do this with other yeast rolls and breads. Also, I made the frosting (used Neuchatel cheese - less fat), dropped it by spoonfuls (enough for 1-2 rolls) onto wax paper, froze them, then removed the frosting drops and wrapped them individually in plastic wrap. These all went into a plastic bag and back to the freezer until needed. This way you can use all of the 8 oz package of creamed cheese (2/3 c butter, 4 c powdered sugar, 1-1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/3 tsp salt). The extra rolls, if you have any, are frozen and reheated in the microwave (these are really good reheated). This is where the frozen frosting comes in handy. It doesn't take much heat to thaw the frosting." -dbdcook

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
This was great, easy, and quick. I tripled the sauce for a pound of shrimp, but probably could have just doubled it. Also, next time I would add the shrimp last because I used precooked shrimp and it was a little overcooked by the time the sauce got thick. Served over minute rice for a quick healthy and delicious meal.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
We love this! I use 2 huge chicken breasts (frozen) and cook on low all day. Also, I added a can of mixed veggies. Instead of water, used broth. Can you cream of mushroom if you don't have chicken. I'm sure cream of ANYTHING soup is fine. 3 hours before serving I shredded the chicken and added 1 can of reduced fat bisquits. Delicious! A huge hit!
