Tasteful Tahini Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2014
Added 1/3 cup of garbanzo beans to thicken the dressing. Not only was it thicker, it tasted a little like hummus. The tamari definitely needs to be cut back. Overall a fabulous flavor and very simple.

Nicole's Winter Carrot Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2013
The flavor is great, but, I learned the hard way: if you are making muffins, BE CAREFUL to not overbake. If they cook too long they get dried out and loose a lot of their appeal. When checking for doneness with your toothpick don't wait until the toothpick comes out completely clean. Take the muffins out when there are still a couple of moist crumbs sticking to it. They will continue to bake for a few minutes after you take them out of the oven. I baked large 3.5" muffins (top diameter) and they were over-done at 43 minutes.

Creamy Italian Dressing II

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2013
If you also add some dried basil, thyme and parsley the flavor will be more complex.

Cilantro-Lime Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2013
I think I've died and gone to salad heaven! I can't believe that something this delicious came out of MY food processor! It is seriously good. I drizzled it over shredded green leaf lettuce, sugar snap peas, Vidallia sweet onion slivers, chunks of mozzarella cheese and black beans. (Oh, I cut the honey in half in order to better taste the lime juice.)

Chocolate Crinkles III

Perfect in flavor and shape. Keep the dough cold to keep it from getting sticky. Don't actually handle the dough until after you've dropped the spoonfulls into the sugar to coat and then they will roll around in yours hands easily. I put red and green M'n'Ms on top to decorate for Christmas. Big hit.

Garlic Carrots

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
At first I was sceptical because of the garlic and thyme but ultimately the flavor was great. At the end I added a VERY light dusting of grated parmesan cheese, but not so much that it was really discernable. That addition turned the flavors from great to outstanding! I ate half of it before it got to the table.

Simple Cajun Seasoning

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
I added 1 teaspoon each of onion and garlic powder to create an even more complex flavor. I used this seasoning on the "Cubanos Frijoles" recipe on this site and it was absolutely wonderful.

Cubanos Frijoles

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
This is one of my 'go-to' vegetarian recipies. Instead of ground meat I use Trader Joe's Soy Chorizo. It is already pretty spicy but I still use the Cajun seasoning ("Simple Cajun Seasoning" from this site). If I'm trying to be reeeally healthy I serve the beans over a large bed of slightly wilted spinach. A great combination.

Reeeealyy gooood. In order to stretch out the recipe without using more cream cheese I added some lowfat chive cottage cheese to the blend. WOW!

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Try adding a can of (drained) Hominy! It adds the flavor of Mexican tortilla soup. I joined this website specifically to be able to rate this recipe. It is fabulous and easy.
