Christmas Wreaths

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
The kids love these wreaths. I've made them for decades. I skip the shaping of the wreath and just dab a spoonful on wax paper and add the two red hots. There beautiful and always a hit.

Chinese Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
I make this salad for potlucks or family functions. It's great! Everyone loves it :) However, it must be eaten the first day because like any salad, it gets soggy.

Cabbage Patch Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
This was a good recipe. I replaced the ranch style beans with 1 15oz can of blk beans and 1 15oz can of pinto beans. I used mexican style stewed tomatoes & added 1 T of chili powder. My husband and his friends loved it. I placed it in the crockpot and forgot about it.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
Fantastic recipe. I used 2- 14oz cans of Del Monte Stewed tomatoes (Mexican recipe) in place of whole peeled and added canned black beans. I fried tortilla strips as stated in recipe and topped with sour cream. Yummy!

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: May 28, 2007
Easy recipe and very delicious. While soup was simmering I cut up fresh corn tortillas into strips, fried them in oil & lightly salted. I served soup in a bowl with a handful of homeade strips on top & avocado Yum Yum

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: May 28, 2007
Great recipe. We had a luau and I doubled this recipe. It was a huge hit! I added some garlic powder to the meat and cooked for 20 hrs. Then I placed the shredded pork in a crockpot and served with hawaiian rolls. On the side, I bought a honey teryaki glaze sauce that I added crushed pineapple to. Then I placed the glaze in a small crockpot. A great addittion for those who want more but the meat is wonderful alone :)
