My Kid's Favorite Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
These were very good! I did marinate the pork 24hrs ahead of time and browned them with the marinade on them. I then added a bottle of Guiness and sweet bbq sauce. Slow cooked them in my crock pot and my whole family really liked them. I left the onions in big rings and they came out nice and caramelized. Will be making this again, thanks for the recipe!

Best Ziti Ever

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
Very good! Due to a limited amount of time, I mixed all the ingredients together and baked it like a casserole. I used store bought spaghetti sauce instead of marinara sauce and still added the seasonings. Baked it for only 25 min and it was great!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
These were very good and easy. I made some plain vanilla ( by adding a little extra sugar and 2 tsp. of vanilla extract) and cinnamon and sugar. My family loved them. I will be making them again and adding different things. Thanks for the recipe!

Grilled Tuna Steaks with Dill Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
I thought this recipe was very good but my husband did not care for it so much. I did not change anything and will probably make it again just for me!

Chicken Saag

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
This recipe was not to bad. I think next time I will leave out the cloves as I did not like how they over powered the rest of the recipe. It wasn't quite like the Saag I have had at my favorite Indian Restaurant but not the worst I have had either.

Grilled Turkey Reubens

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
I made these for my family one evening because I was looking for a quick meal. They were amazing! The only thing I did different was add 2 slices of swiss cheese instead of using 1. Even my 12yr old thought they were delicious. I will definitely be making these again!

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2010
This recipe was amazing! Tasted just like my favorite Indian restaurant. The only thing I did different was added 1/4 tsp of salt for the whole recipe and I placed the chicken pieces and marinade in the oven for about 25min. When I took the chicken out I added all of the chicken and marinade to the tomato base I had cooking already. I let this simmer for about 20 minutes and served over instant brown rice. My family loved it. Just the right spice and will be making many more times!

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
This recipe was awesome and my family loved it. I did omit the raisins, used pecans instead of walnuts and added a bag of white chocolate chips and 1/4 tsp. of nutmeg. I have already been asked to make it again. Thanks for the recipe!

Whipped Cream

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
This is the whip cream recipe I always use. I first chill my bowl and beater in the freezer and it comes our perfect every time. I don't even measure my powdered sugar I just add a little until I get the taste and consistency I want. Thanks for the recipe.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
This was very good. I followed the recipe closely but also added a few splashes of red wine vinegar and teriyaki sauce. My family loved it. My green peppers were very soft and if you would like more firm ones put them in toward the end of the cooking time. I will make this again for sure!!

Chocolate Cream Pie I

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
This pie was exceptional!! The only changes I made were instead of adding 2 cups of milk, I used 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of heavy cream. I also used a "heaping" 1/3 c of flour as well. Next time I will probably cut the sugar back to 1/2 cup as it was very rich. I made some fresh whipping cream and got rave reviews from my family. Will add this to my favorites for sure.

Very good sandwich. My 3yr old even gobbled a whole one slathered in strawberry jelly. I didn't use as much oil as called for and they turned out wonderful!

Simple Garlic and Basil Pesto

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
This recipe is wonderful. I make it in my food processor and add more fresh parmesan cheese than is called for and I add double the toasted pine nuts. My high school daughter and her friends are always asking me to make this for them. It's one of our favorites.

Mack's Tunaburgers

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
I made these for my family and they were very good. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they were very salty. I used a whole egg instead of just the egg white. I will make again but with a low sodium teriyaki sauce.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
This was a very good and easy recipe. I used 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts and doubled the recipe. It had very good ginger flavor and was healthy. I will make this again but maybe next time put it in the crock pot and let it slow cook for the day.
