Out of this World Turkey Brine

I'm with everyone else but I'll be repetitive - the juiciest, best tasting turkey we have ever eaten. I used another's idea and used my fridge veggie crisper bin and used it to brine my turkey in. It roasted up beautiful and was really golden brown and tasty. The best!

Play Dough Cookies

This cookie recipe is AWESOME!! I'm making it, on my DD's request, for about the 3rd or 4th time. The first time I made it in shades of pink and red for valentine's day and they were a big hit for her Kindergarten class. Now we're making it "just cuz" - just cause it looks great, tastes really great and is fun to make together. Love it!

Gingerbread Pancakes

Well.... mixed reviews on this one. Did anyone else notice that the recipe didn't tell you to use the oil in the recipe or save it to oil the pan? Maybe I was the only one confused. I agree - the pancakes puffed up almost too much. What ended up happening with our pancakes is that the insides didn't cook as much as the puffed up outsides. I hadn't added the oil to the batter for my first 4 pancakes and they were just light "fluff" but once I added a little oil it was much more like a "regular" batter . My husband, myself and my son liked the pancakes but not my daughter. Not sure I'll make again until my daughter learns to love the taste of gingerbread!! :)

Mimi's Giant Whole-Wheat Banana-Strawberry Muffins

These were great muffins! My family enjoyed these for breakfast this morning - and gobbled them all up! They really were "giant", easy to make, tasty and moist. I will definitely make these again. Thanks for sharing this recipe Mimi!

Buttermilk Pancakes II

This was a GREAT recipe! My family loved it and the description was bang on - tasty, light and fluffy! This is a keeper. This recipe makes a LOT of pancakes - I kind of forgot to look at the amount of servings of 12! But not a problem, now my freezer is filled with nummy pancakes ready to eat at any time. Mushroom Sauce

Thanks for sharing this one Karen - it was great! I served it over egg noodles and my family gobbled it up! I think I'll add more mushrooms next time and cut back on the green peppers - but more for my personal taste. Very good, very easy and very quick to make!

Brownie Biscotti

This was a wonderful, wonderful recipe. Very easy to make and oh-so-yummy! I cut my biscotti a little narrower (around 1/2 - 3/4 inch) and reduced the oven time to 350 for the second baking. I gave them as Christmas gifts and they were well loved - thanks for sharing!!

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

This was a wonderful Christmas cookie and a big hit at my cookie exchange party. I read the previous comments and I, too, used my Kitchen Aid to whip the batter for 10 minutes and baked them for *TWELVE* minutes and not 15. They were wonderful, melt in your mouth goodies!

Red Broccoli Salad

This was a very tasty salad that, as suggested, turned into a meal in itself!! I ate it for supper last night, breakfast and lunch today - yummy! There is just the right blend of crunchy with tangy and the tastes were very complementary. I used maple bacon and green grapes and it was delicious. My husband generally isn't a big broccoli fan and really, really like this one too. It's a keeper.

Buffalo Cheesy Chicken Lasagna

My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe!! We love chicken wings with blue cheese and this was the taste that came through in this lasagna. Easy to make and the leftovers were just as good, if not better, than the first serving - the tastes get a chance to blend a little. So yummy! The only thing that we did different is use a little larger lasagna pan and so needed more lasagna noodles but it didn't affect any of the other instructions. Great recipe!!

Cheesy Pasta Alfredo with Salmon

This was a WONDERFUL recipe - our whole family enjoyed it, even my 2 year old. We ended up making too much salmon for the original dish and ended up just buying more alfredo sauce and cooking up more rotini to eat it again the next night. Super easy and it took about 20 minutes total to make - I just timed the cooking time of the salmon with the cooking time of the pasta. Thank you for sharing this recipe - will be added to my permanant recipe book at home!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

This recipe is FABULOUS!!! I agree - it's easy to make, incredibly tasty, just like yhe cheesecake I pay $6 for at the restaurant. I followed this recipe exactly (no water bath, variations, etc.) and it turned out beautifully high, fluffy but smooth texture, light brown and no cracks. It's a keeper - thank you Chantal for sharing this gem of a recipe!!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Probably the simplest recipe I've made in the slow cooker - and the tastiest! Made about 4 cups of gravy that was wonderful. I've sent this recipe to others - it's a very easy "keeper"!

Luscious Slush Punch

This is absolutely FABULOUS punch! I made it with a large box of strawberry Jello instead of 2 small ones and used 7-Up. We made it the day before and took it out about 10 minutes before the guests arrived and had no problems with it becoming slushy quickly. There really, truly was not a drop of it left by the time my birthday party was finished - adults and kids alike LOVED it. Two women demanded to have the recipe before leaving for home!!! Highly recommended - no doubt about it!

Cheddar and Macaroni Salad

This was a great little recipe to whip up. I am not an onion fan and found the onions overpowered the salad but I'll just leave them out next time. My husband didn't mind the onions at all. My toddler ate it with full gusto!

RamJam Chicken

We loved this recipe! It was super easy to make and the chicken was SOOO tender and tasty. Even my 18 month old ate the chicken - a food she doesn't eat. We can see ourselves using it all summer! The only substitution we made was a little bit of ginger powder instead of the fresh ginger and it was yummy.
