Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

This recipe took a lot of work, and it looked totally awesome going into the oven - but in the end the filling wasn't as flavorful as the calorie count demanded, although it was still acceptable. Bacon was good, though... bacon is always good.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

The balsamic was supposed to turn me off, but to my surprise I ended up rather liking it. This is fast, simple, and has just about every characteristic Italian flavoring you need for a satisfying and believable meal. Would make again.

Coq Au Vin, My Way

Vegan Lasagna I

This lasagna will truly test the limits of your 9x13 dish. As it is I noshed on wet noodles and drained a little of the water out of the tomato sauce and still had to jam a pan under the dish to safeguard against leakage - which happened, minimally. Speaking of which, no matter how ridiculously much sauce you end up having, don't throw any away or you'll end up with a dry, intensely uncreamy lasagna. Beyond that fact, the lasagna pretty much just tasted of parsley and basil layered between squishy levels of tofu and tasteless spinach. It tasted like a two-star recipe, but I admit I goofed over the tomato sauce, so I'll err on the side of three stars here. I'm NOT a vegan, so maybe a different set of standards would find this more appealing.

Ginger Veggie Stir-Fry

Immensely, excruciatingly bland, and a little gummy thanks to the corn starch. I can use my imagination to make a stir fry juicer and more flavorful than this just by tossing in a bigger variety of veggies and more inventive sauces.

Curried Coconut Chicken

This was most excellent, and makes a visual presentation every bit as impressive as the taste. I had to make my own curry powder which was semi-disastrous, and it still turned out delicious, although there was an incredible amount of leftover sauce that didn't particularly taste good on its own (although it tasted great with the chicken)

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

These were passable, but fairly bland and a little on the doughy/bready side of things. I made a 1/3 batch, and as I was opening up the secret ingredient (pudding) to add it in I took a whiff and thought "yeah! This will fix it up perfectly!" The dough tasted alright but the finished product did not live up to my expectations.
