Walnut Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
This was SUPER yummy! The only change I would make is to add the nut topping only about 25 or 30 minutes before the pie is done baking. My walnuts and sugar were a little burnt adding them only 15 min into the baking process.

Ginger and Rosemary Pork Marinade

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
this was yummy but I added olive oil, little bit of water and some sugar. It was too pungent and sour so that's why I altered it

Swedish Angel Crisps

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
These cookies were delicious. The raw dough wasn't that tasty so I was unsure of the final product but, boy was I surprised! I used pecans instead and and sprinkled green sugar for decoration. My husband ate them up!!

Creamy Garlic-Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
I really wanted to give this recipe more like a 2 1/2 stars. Make sure you make this right before serving as it is not good once it's cooled down at all. Also, the number one change I would make is to use canned green beans. The beans were like crunchy and not a good texture. Also, I would use french fried onions as topping instead of the crackers. I was NOT IMPRESSED at all.

The best cookie ever! I couldn't roll out the dough, it was too sticky but with frosting and sprinkles these are the best Christmas Cookie!

Greek Spaghetti II

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
Everything was soo yummy and perfect before I baked it, the browned butter, smell of oregano and parmesan. But...when I baked it, it never got bubbly like the recipe said and also dried out a bit. I didn't use fresh parmesan so that may have made a difference but...it was still tasty! I will make this again with a few tweaks.

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
I am just now making this for the second time. It is quite yummy and is just like bread pudding. Bread pudding is my favorite dessert so this recipe is a hit with me. I didn't change anything the first time but I took someone else's advice this time and melted some butter into the bottom of the dish before adding the bread. You can never go wrong with more butter in my opinion!

Awesome Egg Salad with a Kick

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
My husband loves it and I like it too but I feel like I should have cut the mustard in half. It drowns out the flavor of the egg.

Avocado Feta Salsa

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
Gave this 4 stars since I added lime juice and would be better with cilantro instead of parsely like others said. I used real Bulgarian feta too, not the cheap kind you buy at grocery stores. You have to go to a european store to get the Bulgarian Sheep's Feta. It's worth the money

Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
This recipe is good but if you want to make it better, double the spinach, 1/2 the recipe, double the artichoke, add more cheese (feta is yummy), a little tabasco, a little lemon juice and some extra seasoning salt! I like that you don't have to bake it, the stovetop makes it easy!

Refreshing Summer Orzo Salad

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
I've made this twice in the last month and given the recipes out to my friends who also loved it! Only thing I suggest is cutting the amount of Feta in half. I love feta but the amount called for in this recipe overpowers the other ingredients.

So yummy! Simple but delicious! The taste of vegetables and beans with the salty ham is the best!

Yummy!! Super pretty with it's presentation too! I would maybe add more asparagus next time just because I love it so much and also, golden raisens could be a great addition.

Sweet Corn Muffins

These came out really yummy. I added a touch of vanilla extract and it was a hit. I made it into a loaf rather then individual muffins. It was delicious!

Homemade Focaccia Bread

I have one phrase to decsribe this bread...Shut up!! I used fresh rosemary instead of dried and had to use brown sugar because someone rudely used all my white. Love that it was so fast and easy to make! This was a definate winner in my family!

Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
This recipe was a smash hit. I got real creative because I didn't have bisquik or anything so I used this sour cream biscuit recipe (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Sour-Cream-Biscuits/Detail.aspx) I mixed the ingredients of that just until it was crumbly in the bottom of the bowl and then I added the sausage, cheese, and I also spiced it up with some cayenne pepper and seasoning salt. The balls formed very easily without having to use milk like a lot of others did. Baked for about 30 minutes on a wire rack and they came out wonderful!! Next time I will double the recipe!

Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
I gave this pot roast 5 stars because only because I was able to spruce it up. Searing the roast on all sides is great and the cooking time is perfect but recipe itself is bland. I add, carrots, potatoes, bell peppers, and when I cook it, I use chicken broth mixed with gravy but more broth then you should so it's not too thick. Also, Johnny's seasoning salt makes it perfect.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
These were very yummy, I marinated them for 3 hours! Unfortunately, I am not a skilled BBQ-er and burned most of them to a crisp :( It was very sad but some were edible and those that were, were delicious!

This was yummy! A very different twist then our regular salad but the family liked it. Even the husband ate it, and it looks very pretty in a fancy, glass salad bowl!
