Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2015
This really is good - but you need to make sure it gets hot enough - to candy stage - otherwise it will be grainy.

Creme de Menthe Grasshopper Pie

So yummy! Took the advice of one of the recommendations and used a springfoam pan. Looked AND tasted great. Used oreos but think will try with girl scout thin mint cookies next time.

Balsamic Bruschetta

For the most part, I loved the balance of flavors. I did add more garlic (personal preference). Also - need to deseed the tomatoes before you begin or it's too soupy.

Loved this. Didn't have red wine vinegar - but sub with some balsamic & regular vinegar. This is a keeper!

Elegant Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
Everyone like this - but I did make some of the changes otheres suggested (4 cups chix broth, 1/3 flour, and 1/4 cup cream sherry). I also sauted the onions with a couple of strips of bacon and garlic - really added an add'l level of flavor.

Sausage Balls

So easy - and it was the first thing gone on the buffet table (granted - there were a ton of guys there - this is a "guy" type food). The parchment paper idea worked great. I also froze them before cooking - then had them defrost about 45 minutes before cooking.

Yummy Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
very good - but thought it would be a bit spicer than it was. Next time will add some red pepper flakes. Also broil for 1-2 minutes to get a nice crust on top.

Fresh - perfect for summer. I didn't have the dill or parsley, but did add some fresh thinly sliced red onions. Lovely.

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
Good - but actually too much of a sour cream taste for me. I think it lended to its creamy texture - so I will just cut back a bit next time I make it. I also used a tart pan - which is a bit wider - and it worked perfectly (vs a deep dish pan). Because it is wider (thinner) I reduced the cooking time by 5 minutes.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
I followed this exactly and I really liked it...BUT it does it really has a heavy cinnamon taste. It reminds me of the flavor of Skyline Chili (if you're familiar with the Cincinnati chili). While I kind of liked it, the rest in my family thought it was "weird". Next time I'll probably follow what others suggested in the review and decrease the cinnamon by at least half.

Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
Very good! But as written - it really should go into an 8x8 or 9x9 pan - not a 13x9. If you want to use the larger size pan, do as others suggest and double to base ingredients (1 cup butter is enough). There wasn't enough for the topping if you don't. The flavors are wonderful together!

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
5 stars with all the additions others have suggested. What I did (which worked out great) is: 2 cans chix broth, 1 can of cream of chix, 1 can black beans, 1 bag frozen corn, deli chicken cut up, 1/2 jar chipolte salsa, and rotel tomatoes can (not whole can as the kids aren't tomato fans). Seasoned with chili powder and taco seasoning.
