About this Cook
Army wife of 26 years. Mother to two sons: 25 and 23 yrs old. Enjoying being an empty nester but love to cook for the boys when they come home. We have a 9 month old grand daughter and a grand son due December 25th!
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook most anything...wouldn't say I have any real favorites.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's spaghetti, my husband's families holiday fruit salad. My daughters-in-law and I have a love of pickle wraps and now make them for every function that we have together!
My cooking triumphs
Banana pudding & 7 layer salad. My husband works full time at an Army Reserve center and every time they have a potluck these two dishes are requested! I'm never allowed to bring anything else!
My cooking tragedies
When we were first married I made a beef stew in the crock pot and put a can of peas in it - the stew turned green... :s

Easy Skillet Beef and Hash Browns
Nope...sorry not liking this one at all. Don't care for the taste of the ketchup & Worcestershire sauce in it.

Day Before Pay Day Fried Rice
Super easy & yummy! I omitted the celery (we aren't fans) and used frozen mixed veggies instead of just peas. Add some hot crusty bread and canned peaches and you've got a great meal!

Flatlander Chili
I'm always looking for a better chili recipe and this one is tops! I omitted celery & green pepper but it was still wonderful! Add some corn bread and you've got a great meal!
