Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
I agree with the person who said this is chili, but it's a very good chili. I found a can of tomatoes with green chiles and used black beans and kidney beans. Also used a little less water, just the amount needed in the cans to rinse them. My husband makes a great chili, but he said mine is almost as good as him.

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
I used a whole bag of stove top stuffing, mixed in some pepper and garlic powder, and pressed it into the pork chops well (after dipping in egg and milk.) I poured most of the extra onto the chops before cooking. Also, I made six chops! My pork chops were really thick, so I had to cook them about 45 min. Like someone else suggested, I sprayed the chops with Pam and sprayed them again when I flipped them. My husband raved and my son, who has never eaten a pork chop in his life (he's 15) even ate one, and ate the extra stuffing in the pan.

Springtime Potato Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2008
My daughter said it was the best I ever made and my husband even liked it (he only likes his mother's cooking or his own!). I used relish instead of pickles and less sugar like others said. Everthing else was the same and it was good!

Very dry. No flavor. I even tried adding some garlic. Didn't help.

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
Way too much sauce! I cooked chicken thighs and they were delicious! Only baked 30 min, then broiled until nice and brown. Everyone raved!

Sweet and Sour Kielbasa

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
Very good! I cooked it on the stove, used less ketchup like someone suggested, but everything else was pretty much the same. My kids loved it-even the picky one! Served over rice. Used two pounds of kielbasa, and still had more than enough sauce.

Chicken and Potato Parcels

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
This was very good. A little soup, though. Make sure you seal the aluminum foil well. I didn't, and cooked it in the oven, so it leaked all over. Took about an hour in the oven.

Loaded Potato Skins

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
Left out the scallions and added olives. Delicious! I took the suggestion of spraying the potatoes with Pam like someone said and that worked well.

Mom's 'Sweet 'n' Sours' Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2007
I just made this and thought it was great! My sauce was actually too thick, so I added water as it was cooking. I'll boil the ribs less next time because they were a little dry. My husband said it was too sweet, so I'll put a little less sugar next time, also. The sauce is delicious on rice!

Simmered Swiss Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2007
This was delicious! The meat was very tender and the sauce was great. I like to put the sauce on mashed potatoes.
