Chicken with Asparagus and Roasted Red Peppers

The veggies tasted great together, but I found the chicken to be bland. Next time, I'd add the garlic from the beginning and season the chicken more heavily.

Root Beer Pork Chops

Far too much work for very little flavor. The root beer flavor grilled well, but we still found it to be bland.

My husband and I really enjoyed this. It was very light and fresh. I only used 1/3 of an onion and added some italian seasoning. I'm also not sure how much lemon juice I used since I just squeezed a few slices of fresh lemon on it.

Creamy Split Pea Soup

Fantastic. I did add a full teaspoon of pepper and my husband added a bit more to his bowl. I also picked out most of the ham before blending so we'd have chunks in our soup.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

My husband doesn't like asparagus and seemed to enjoy this recipe. I didn't think it was as flavorful as I expected. Still good and I will probably use this recipe again.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Very classic ham and potatoe soup. I felt like it was missing something though. I added cheese to each bowl which helped. I think next time I may add peas or corn or brocolli.

Pumpkin Cranberry Nut Bread

New favorite bread recipe! Brought to the family Christmas and was a big hit with all. I followed the recipe exactly, but used fresh pumpkin instead of canned. I also opted for fresh cranberries. I also had to bake for 75 minutes instead of 65.

Perfectly Simple Pumpkin Cheesecake

The flavor was great, but like another reviewer, I had issues getting the center to set. I also thought the top layer was a bit thin. If I were to make this again, I think I would cut the main recipe in half and make it pie sized. I would probably keep the topping amounts the same though.

Savannah's Best Marinated Portobello Mushrooms

Really good. I didn't have a lot of time, so I put all the ingredients in a frying pan and sauted each side until cooked through. I served them on whole wheat bagel thins with pepperjack cheese on top.

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Excellent. The chicken was so tender and juicy. I didn't have time to let the spices sit so I just threw them on the thawed chicken and roasted per the recipe. Would use this again.
