Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2013
it was great! a keeper! i would reduce the 1cup water to 2/3 or 1/2 cup as it took a lot longer than expected to "reduce" the liquid. otherwise it's a winner! my husband loved it and it smelled great when you walk in the door! i used thin chops and they were so moist!

Beginner Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
easy and can make changes as you like. i used cream of celery on hand. i had no bisquick so i used the following recipe and it made 30 dumplings and i added a dash of poultry seasoning to the dumplings for some flavor and it was a great idea!) DROP DUMPLINGS In bowl, mix 1 cup flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder. Add enough milk to make dough and stir with fork. Have chicken broth boiling in pan. Drop dumpling dough in broth by tablespoon full. Cover pan, reduce heat. Cook only 7 minutes.

Banana Cake VII

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
Best banana cake I've ever made. I made in a glass 8x10" pan and used NO frosting. My boys hate cream cheese :( But the cake didn't last 24 hours. They ate for dessert last night and finished it for breakfast this morning! I ADDED CHOPPED PECANS. yum! this is easier and faster than banana bread and much moister!!! (the cake didn't last long enough for me to get the photo!)

Classic Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2012
GREAT! I had been wasting 99cents a pack for "fried rice" seasoning only to figure out it's dehydrated soy sauce! duh! wow.... We love fried rice and this was the BEST ever one i've ever made! The bacon made it "special"!! I cooked the bacon, then cooked the chicken in the bacon grease then cooked the eggs in the remaining bacon grease. YUM! i made a ton of it and just added seasoning (soy sauce) to taste. it's so much easier than i ever realized! will make this recipe forever more!

Chicken Enchiladas with Creamy Green Chile Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
the best! this is way cheaper than buying enchilada sauces! i steam my corn tortillias in a steamer pan (spray the steamer pan w/ pam so the bottom one's don't stick... makes it less calories and the tortillias are rollable!). Great recipe! very affordable!!!

PHILLY Baked Crab Rangoon

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
these were good! i did both the mini muffin style and also baked folded over like a mini turnover. I liked the folded over better (will fry next time as well). I might use the imitation shredded crab next time instead of canned. The crab flavor was really mild using the canned. I will make again giving it my own twists!

Scalloped Cabbage with Ham and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
This was so awesome! I let the cabbage/onion cook down in 1 cup of chicken broth, added the ham (to warm it up) then strained the whole thing prior to putting in the buttered dish. That worked well as there was a tiny bit more liquid formed in the bottom of dish during the baking period. Had i not drained the original liquid it would have turned out too watery. The topping was awesome! i didn't have velveta so i mixed the butter/flour mixture, added the milk then about 1 cup of shredded mild cheddar and it melted perfectly... layered over the top and baked w/ the bread crumbs and dotted w/ butter as directed. Was a TOTAL HIT!!! We will eat this often!!! ENJOY!
