About this Cook
Hi. My name is Shanna. I'm a married mom of two lovely girls. I love to cook; It's definitely one of my passions. I mostly like to bake and I'm always looking for new ideas of things to make and I like to make different people try my food and give me an opinion. I usually end up making food for my husband's single friends because I hate for anybody to not have homecooked food sometimes! I also enjoy photography, (I take more pictures than I know what to do with!), scrapbooking, and I love being outdoors in the country.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are desserts, but I also like to try out different meal ideas for my family.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I like to make treats and give them out for christmas although I always find so many yummy things to make and not enough people to give them to!
My cooking triumphs
hmm I've had a few..I just can't think of what they are right now!
My cooking tragedies
I've definitely had a few of those too!

Banana Cake VI
Good recipe! As with all recipes with buttermilk, I substituted vinegar mixed with milk and I added a box of banana pudding mix as another reviewer suggested. I didnt take as long as what it should have to bake and I didnt put it in the freezer at all. Turned out very moist and flavorful!

The Best Double Chocolate Chip Cookie
I wanted to make a chocolate cookie and this had good reviews so I tried it with a few changes. I didnt have chocolate chips so I cut up milk chocolate and toffee candy to put in it and I added walnuts. It tasted alot like a brownie. I also used half margarine and half shortening and added slightly more cocoa. It was good, but I wouldnt say better because I dont like chocolate much. I mostly just made these for my husband and he said they were wonderful(hes the picky one) so I'll give it a 5!

Miss Betty's Super Quick Dinner Rolls
I decided I would try this recipe just because it's so simple. Well I really like this recipe, but as a biscuit instead of a dinner roll because it has the perfect biscuit texture. It comes out so light and fluffy! I will be using other recipes for dinner rolls, but this is my new biscuit recipe for sure!
