About this Cook
I LOVE TO EXPERIMENT WITH NEW RECIPES! I AM FORTUNATE THAT MY COWORKERS ARE SO VERY TOLERATE OF MY EFFORTS, AS THEY ARE MY GUINEA PIGS (NO PUN INTENDED) I AM AN EMERGENCY SERVICES OPERATOR, AND WE DON'T GET VERY MUCH TIME TO EAT HERE AT WORK, SO THEY APPRECIATE MY EFFORTS.
My favorite things to cook
HMMM..DESSERTS, MEXICAN FOOD, BBQ..MY CRAWFISH CORN SOUP AND CHICKEN TORTILLA SOUPS ARE GREAT COMFORT FOODS. CROCK POT RECIPES ARE A FAVORITE ALSO.
My favorite family cooking traditions
CRAWFISH/SHRIMP/CRAB BOILS WHEN THEY ARE IN SEASON AND A SIBLING COMES TO VISIT..BBQ IS POPULAR ALSO.
My cooking triumphs
THE FIRST TIME I MADE MY GREAT GRANDMOTHER'S SEAFOOD GUMBO..IT IS AN ALL DAY EVENT AND IT TURNED OUT WONDERFUL
My cooking tragedies
TOO MANY CASUALTIES TO LIST! BUT I LEARNED FROM EVERY ONE OF THEM!

Banana Crumb Muffins
OMG, these are the bomb!! I ended up baking the batter in an 8x8 pan, and lowered the oven temp to 350, baked about 40 minutes..I made one goof, and used two tablespoons of butter when making the topping; it's an error that I do not regret..lol. I also used roasted chopped pecans in it..YUM YUM YUM..Thank you so much for such a wonderful recipe.

Cranberry Sauce Chicken II
Let me say, upon reading over the recipe I will admit I had my doubts. However, I put my faith in the rave reviews this recipe had received from others, took a deep breath, and took the plunge. Following one suggestion, I mixed the soup mix, cranberry sauce, and dressing together and let it sit in the refrigerator overnite to let the flavors blend, and poured it over the chops prior to baking the next evening. My boyfriend and picky teenage daughter LOVED IT!! A very quick, delicious recipe. Can't wait to try it over pork ribs..yum, yum, yum!!
