Gurkensalat (German Cucumber Salad)

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2014
This is kind of like what we serve at the German restaurant I work in. I don't like the addition of paprika, and we let our cucumbers cure for quite a bit longer than half an hour. I'll stick with our recipe.

The Best Thai Coconut Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2014
I made this soup last night. Oh My Goodness! My husband, who hates coconut, loved the soup. I only added two cans of coconut milk and then I added one minced clove of garlic. So good!

Pasta With Tuna Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2011
Delicious and easy. I was a little skeptical about putting in a whole onion, but it worked. Cooking it down till it's tender makes it nice and sweet. Also if you use solid albacore tuna and let it sit in the sauce for a little while the meat soaks up the juices and caused the fish to actually have a nice fishy texture.

Sour Cream Chicken Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Excellent recipe. The only actual quiches I've made before have called for mayonnaise, so I was really pleased to see this one using sour cream. Substituted light sour cream, added spinach and two cloves of garlic. Also made a veggie one with broccoli, spinach, tomato, crushed red pepper flakes and some mrs dash original blend, with parmesan cheese in place of cheddar and swiss. deeelish! Thank you

Homemade Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
Great! Used Margerine. My husband says they're almost as good as his mom's! I think they have excellant texture and taste. Just remember, the kneading and stretching of the gluten process is very important to the overall texture of the tortilla

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
pretty good, used chicken and homemade chilli. Husband flat out refused to put the sauce on the burrito (just on his rice) but said it was a bit watery, but tasty. I thought it was a bit on the salty side. However, I did not use tomato soup. I think Ill make this again and follow the recipe to the T. Either way, tasty.

Cobb Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
hit all the elements of a cobb salad. The only things I did differently were: I used cheddar cheese instead of blue, and Romaine lettuce instead of iceberg. Hit the spot, thank you!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
Great starter recipe! I got pretty close to the measurements, I think. And it tasted almost exactly like pumpkin pie! I used homemaade bread that I diced into pieces and dried out in the oven at 200 degrees for forty minutes, then I mixed it all together and let it sit for a couple hours. Delish!

Soft Giant Pretzels

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
Dissapeared! I made these on Thanksgiving for something new to try and they turned out marvelously. I didn't have a bread machine, but looked up how to deal with yeast on this site and soaked it in the warm water like it said. After boiling them in the making soda and water I gave them an egg wash and sprinkled coarse salt all over them. Also I added 1tsp of salt in the dough. Thank you for the yummie pretzels.

Oaxacan Tacos

Reviewed: May 8, 2008
Great recipe! I just wanted to add that if anybody gets jalepeno juice on themselves and it burns, dab a napkin in milk and hold that on the place where the juice got you, it really does help. just keep changing it out when it gets warm. the more milk, the better.

Thank you! I needed a banana bread recipes with out brown sugar, sort of lacking in the pantry. I took some advice from another reviewer and added 1 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp of nutmeg plus 1 tsp vanilla. It turned out heavy and moist with a slight kick from the cinnamon. love it!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
I've been making this for a year or so now and I just located it on this site. A few changes I have are, I sate onions, green peppers, and garlic in the butter before adding the cream cheese. Everything else is pretty much the same, and it's always a big hit. Thanks for posting it
