Zucchini Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2007
I had so much fun fooling my kids and coworkers with this cobbler! I made it exactly as is, except used 1 cup brown and 1 cup white sugar in the crust. And added 3/4 cup oatmeal as others suggested. People said it was the best "apple cobbler" they ever had and I would laugh and tell them there was no apple in it and you should have seen the looks on their faces!!! This was a winner! Thanks, Don and Mary! Also, I had way too much crumble left over, so I put it in a ziplok bag in the refrigerator and just used it as a topping on blueberry muffins. YUM!!!

Cooky Cookies

These tasted good, but they were so crumbly that they made a mess. However, I found a really good use for all the crumbles! Sprinkle them on top of icecream!!

The Best Slow Cooker Cream Corn

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2007
My family eats this like it was candy. I use just one pkg of cream cheese and 1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter. Leave the rest of the ingred. exactly as listed and this is the BEST corn ever. My kids will ask me at least once a week, "Mom, please can we have that yummy yummy corn?" It's so easy, I can throw it all in the crockpot, stir it once an hour and have the best side dish ever.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2007
This is incredible marinade! I took the advice of some others and added fresh minced garlic to it. About 3 cloves per batch. I did some of my chicken wrapped with the bacon, and some I did not. Both were awesome. I used grape tomatoes, zuchinni, mushrooms and pineapple on my kabobs. I made TWO double sized batches of marinade. (For marinating, basting, and dipping.) WOW!! This is definitely a keeper. The smell from the grill was driving the neighbors crazy. They were knocking at my door asking, "What are you grilling? It smells HEAVENLY!!"

I sprinkled the dry spices on the pineapple, drank the rum, and called it a day. (wink wink)
