About this Cook
Growing up every sunday was a family day. We went to church and did family stuff together. When i was about 14 years old I started baking every Sunday for my family. As I got better we started inviting family friends over for my Sunday dessert. That is how I developed my love for baking and cooking. Now that I have a family of my own I love to mix things up and try new stuff. Although I don't bake as much as I used to (after having 3 kids my body doesn't tolerate caloires like it used to), I love to make a meal for my husband and kids and I get that warm fuzzy feeling in my stomach when they say how much they like it.
My favorite things to cook
My cooking triumphs
Baking Martha Stewarts "good things" Chocolate cake for Christmas Eve was the talk of the evening. It was A LOT of work, but well worth it!
My cooking tragedies
I made this beautiful 4th of July flag pound cake with strawberries and blueberries. It was so pretty!!!!!!! And as the host of the party was carying it to the tables outside a kid ran straight into her and she dropped it!!! I was so bummed!

Easy Alfredo Sauce I
My family loved this. My husband who usually doesn't like alfredo (he doesn't like garlic) really enjoyed this. I served it with a cheese tortallini. My 5 year old ate every bite and even finished all his broccoli after he started dipping it in his left over sauce! I didn't make any changes and it was great.

Greasy Chicken
This was a good recipe. My hubby, who claims to not like ckn thighs, loved this. It was as others stated pretty salty, and I used low sodium soy sauce. I took the advice of another review and added some honey and that seemed to do a great job of making taste less salty. I added maybe a little over a TBL spoon of honey. I will make this again. There were no leftovers!

Cheddar Chicken
Really good chicken. I cut the chicken breasts into strips then buttered them and dipped them in the cheese mix. The cheese mix didn't stick very well so I sprinkled the remaning mix over the chicken once it was in the pan and drizzled just a little bit of butter over it. I also broiled to chicken for 3 min. after it was cooked to make it crispy. It was awesome with BBQ sauce or just plain.
