YUM!!!! My family (especially my mom) and I LOVE indian food, and this tasted just like the stuff we had at an authentic Indian restaurant the other week. I DID change a few things though, mainly because of a lack of ingredients. I did not have coconut milk, so I used toasted flaked coconut. I skipped the tomato sauce, since there would be no creaminess of the milk to balance out the acid and tomato-y taste- I didnt want the tomatoes to mask the yummy curry flavor. I drained the tomatoes and skipped the sugar, since the flaked coconut was very sweet. Finally, I cooked the onion, garlic, and curry powder a little longer to release a little more flavor. I'm sure that when I have all the right ingredients next time, this dish will taste even more heavenly! For all of you wanting a relatively simple Indian dish, I certainly recommend this one. By the way, Cook Stephanie's review was very helpful to me in my minor alterations :)
