About this Cook
College grad that paid his way through school working as a sous chef, waiter and bartender in restaurants ranging from lost cost-mexican to high-end gourmet fine dining. World traveler who loves new tastes, good beer and fine wine.
My favorite things to cook
Love using my wok to cook asian-inspired dishes. I'm a pro at Mexican foods and I'm really getting into Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mom was an amazing cook with some wonderful recipes. We didn't eat alot of fast food as kids, and she went the extra mile to make things special for us. I developed a love of food at a young age. I never got into sweets, as a child I just wanted seconds of dinner!
My cooking triumphs
I once successfully fed 20 people on the 4th of July when an unscheduled party "happened" at my place. Nothing pre-prepared nor ready. Add into the mix that I'd been "celebrating" all day-when it was over I was amazed.
My cooking tragedies
Lets see-almost cutting off a finger, grease burns on my arms, a burned pork tenderloin upon meeting what were to be my future in-laws...the list goes on.

Low and Slow Pulled Pork
Rub is awesome, I skip the sauce. I also let it smoke way longer than 4 hours. Minimum 1.5 hours per pound. I then usually put in a dutch oven covered and in the oven on 225 till morning when I rest it and pull the pork to serve. By then it just falls apart.
