About this Cook
I started cooking when my husband was diagnosed w/cancer. He's OK now, but we're sticking with fresh food.
My favorite things to cook
Vegetables (except green peas) are my favorite things to cook & my favorite place in the grocery store. Also enjoy cooking soups.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I baked a sponge cake w/whipped cream frosting for my husband's birthday the first year we were married. That was 28 years ago. These days he insists on 2 birthday cakes: birthday & post-birthday!
My cooking triumphs
Well, my husband's birthday cake would qualify as a triumph. He also loves the way I stir-fry & roast vegetables.
My cooking tragedies
We don't like nuts, and some of my substitutions (raisins, fried onions, chips, etc.) have been real tragedies!

Chinese Chicken Wings
The only thing wrong with this recipe, according to my husband, is that I didn't double it! Delicious & easy. We had it with Japanese Zuchini & Onions (from this site) and rice. A perfect meal.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes
Tasty, fluffy, not too dry, not too moist, easy to make--thank you Dakota Kelly for an awesome recipe that has eliminated pancake mix from my pantry forever. And thanks to the reviewers for all the cooking tips (sifting twice, eggs & milk at room temp, etc.) that helped make the most of Grandma's great recipe.

Tuna Casserole II
Without a doubt the best tuna casserole ever! (And I've eaten alot of tuna casseroles) Other than omitting the bell pepper, (which hubby won't eat)I made the recipe as written. Delicious!
