Egg Foo Yung II

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
Amazing. I made this without any added meat but followed the rest of the patties and sauce as written and it was as great if not better than any take out I've had before. I was also thrilled to find this recipe as I made it with gluten free soy sauce...the first time I've had this in a long time since going gluten-free. Thanks for posting!

Oh-So-Good Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
I will give this a 5 for being a very tasty and easily adaptable recipe. I found this recipe using the ingredient search. I used instant rice made with chicken broth, sauteed canned mushrooms with some diced green pepper and onion for some added veggies, use a large can of chicken (easier than cooking breasts), a cup of salsa, and used a mexican blend cheese (accidentally added a whole cup). Oh, and I added a can of corn as well. Next time I'll try adding black beans. A definite easy keeper to add to the rotation. Thank you!

Tuna Curry in a Hurry

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
After eating this recipe, I wasn't sure why it had so many high ratings...I usually like curry but this was not as good as I hoped it would be. My husband said that this was in the top two worst things I've ever made. Sorry for being so blunt! I really wanted a new way to make tuna but this was not it.

Honey Coconut Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
I like sweet, and this was definitely sweet and a different way to cook salmon. I like my salmon well done and this was pretty good when cooked longer than suggested. I did use as least half the recommended about of butter. My husband thought it was just okay. He wasn't really excited for me to make it again. Not bad though.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
This definitely tasted good, but it was not as fantastic as I thought it would be with all of the rave reviews, especially since I feel that it took a lot longer than 30 min to cook. 4 stars.

Taco Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
I tweaked this just a bit in an attempt to make it healthier and it was awesome. I used just one pound of meat (ground turkey), halved the spices, used fat free sour cream, and used a reduced fat mexican cheese blend from the grocery store. I wouldn't make it any other way. This is my new favorite recipe and it really is super easy. Thank you!!

Thighs on Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
I've made this recipe twice this month...the first time I made it as written and it was great - goes together quick, and both my hubby and I enjoyed it. I did need to cook it for about an hour though to get the rice to absorb all of the water. The second time I used more chicken (so we could could have more leftovers) and switched the onions with celery and I liked it even more...reminded me of the taste of stuffing which was wonderful since I don't eat wheat. Thanks for the recipe!
