About this Cook
I'm a high schooler and I love to make healthy but yummy food.
My favorite things to cook
I love anything that involves baking, especially cookies. I also like making pasta dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Sunday morning, my dad makes blueberry pancakes from a recipe that he knows by heart. They're amazing!
My cooking triumphs
Cookies! And sweet breads. I also tried making french toast the other morning (I know, it's not a hard thing to make) and it turned out great!!! I used a mix of allspice, cinnamon, and cloves in it, and I also added raisins and walnuts to the syrup, and then heated the syrup.
My cooking tragedies
Umm, I haven't really had any tragedies yet. Although one time I made sugar cookies that never spread out in the oven, so I was left with cookie-balls. They were still pretty good though. Oh, and I messed up making macaroni and cheese once. Don't ask me how.

Boiled Chicken
This recipe is great! I'd never thought of boiling chicken before. I used boneless chicken breasts, and just put them in a pot with onion and carrots and water. Make sure to use a big enough pot though, cuz the water boiled over in mine.

Peach and Strawberry Sorbet
This was a very good sorbet recipe. I made it with my friend, and we used half of the amount of sugar called for because the fruit that we used was very ripe. It turned out great, except that it could have been a bit icier. We also used a blender instead of a food processor and it turned out fine. I'll definitely make this again, and maybe experiment with some different fruits.

Zucchini Brownies
Amazing! These were delicious. I do agree with some reviewers on the fact that these were not extremely dense. However, they were definitely NOT cake-like. Like other reviewers, I used half applesauce/half oil, and I didn't make the frosting. I added a few chocolate chips into the batter to make the brownies even more chocolatey, and they were delicious. Thanks for the great recipe!
