Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2012
Great! Just added 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon to the mix, and substituted Hershey's mini kisses for the chocolate chips. My kids loved them!

Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
Fantastic! However, I followed another person's suggestion , to use 1 cup of butter in place of 1 of the cups of shortening, only 6 cups of icing sugar and 1/2 cup of evaporated milk.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew III

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
It was great - followed other reviewers tips though. Started beef only the night before in the soup mix, canned soup and broth (instead of water). Added potatoes, onions, mushrooms and carrots in the morning and turned to high. An hour before it was done, added a can of peas - no stew is complete without peas!. LEFTOVER IDEA: If you have lots of leftovers, turn it into a potpie the night after with a frozen double crust!

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
I omitted the anchovies (yuck!) and made this a little quicker by using store bought croutons that I fried up in a little butter. Topped it all off with some freshly grated asiago, and it was absolutely amazing!!!

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2005
This one always turns out great! I like to use a peas and carrots blend in this, and often I will also put in canned potatoes to make this extra hearty! I also sometimes substitute condensed cheddar cheese soup if I'm in a "cheesy" mood.

BBQ Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2005
This was great and so easy! I used a Boboli crust and a bag of shredded four cheese blend to make this super fast. Also, I used way less than 1 cup of BBQ sauce; it would have been WAY too overpowering. Plus, I didn't use the cilantro on my side of the pizza, I hate that stuff! All in all a delish recipe!

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2005
This was good, but I wish the recipe would tell you what size loaf this makes; I crossed my fingers and selected 1.5lbs and it turned out well!

Saucy Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2004
This was great! I made them with red, orange and yellow peppers (not as bitter as green) and they turned out fantastic! I did however have to add alot of salt, as they were lacking a little. I also garnished with grated cheese when served to "kick it up a notch".

Amazing!!! The beef is so tender that you don't even need a knife. I've made this several times now, and I can truthfully say this is the best roast beef recipe I have ever encountered!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2003
I thought this was really good, but I made a few additions/substitutions. I didn't have the red potatoes or Romano cheese, so I used white potatoes and Parmesan. Yummy! I also added some milk to give them a creamier texture. All-in-all a good recipe.

Golden Rum Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2003
Awesome cake!!! I changed it up a little to make it a coconut rum cake. Instead of walnuts in the beginning, I used shredded coconut. Instead of vanilla pudding, I used coconut pudding, and instead of regular rum, I used Malibu (cocnut flavored rum). It turned out EXCELLENT! Just like the cake that Tortuga makes in Grand Cayman.

Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp and Basil

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2003
This was good, however I found the sauce to be a little runny. If I make this again, I make try to use some flour to thicken up the sauce.

Turtle Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2001
Great recipe!!! I changed the vanilla wafers to Oreo crumbs, and I used Hershey's Milk Chocolate Chips instead of the semisweet. It turned out to be amazingly authentic to the original "Turtle". I also susbtituted T.Marzetti's Caramel Dip instead of unwrapping all those caramels and melting them.
