Chuck's Molasses French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
I would give this 5 stars with a lot more spices. Although it has molasses we still needed nutmeg and more cinnamon with some clove. YUM! Also we used Almond milk instead of heavy cream. Our new favorite french toast recipe for sure.

Fiery Fish Tacos with Crunchy Corn Salsa

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2010
These did not excite us. Very heavy on the chipotle. Just seemed like something was missing.

Peanut Butter, Mayonnaise, and Lettuce Sandwich

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2010
I would give 3.5 stars. It was good, but not amazing. It definitely helped to increase the amt of PB and Mayo, otherwise it didn't taste like much. Oh, and crisp romaine hearts work great versus watercress. I would eat it again and am curious for my toddler to try it.

Chicken Avocado Pizza

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2010
Needs a little more seasoning with the avo, but otherwise we loved this. My husband said it was his favorite pizza ever and that he would rather eat this over pepperoni anyday. I was shocked.

Grilled Fish Tacos with Chipotle-Lime Dressing

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
Not a big fan of these because they were too chipotle. I like the ones that are a little sweeter with the spice.

Spicy Basil Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
AWESOME! My hubby and I felt like we were in a Thai restaurant. I did make subs like a few other -- fish sauce instead of oyster sauce, coconut oil to cook the chicken and sweet chili sauce instead of the chili oil, sugar and peppers.

This was delicious and so easy. Never thought it would be as flavorful as it was. Love that it's very healthy too!

German French Toast

LOOOOOVE this recipe! I'm not a sweets in the morning fan but love french toast and the addition of the cheese helped balance it out plus gives you more protein. Also, I add some cinnamon and nutmeg. YUM!

Nothing to rave over but a good base. Definitetly needed another egg.

Baked Spaghetti Squash Lasagna Style

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
Loved this and it was SO easy to make! My husband was also pleasantly surprised. Although it didn't fill him up enough so I would add some turkey or chicken sausage next time.

Tex-Mex Burger with Cajun Mayo

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
These were a HUGE BBQ hit. Everyone loved them. I used diced canned jalepeno's and though they were going to be insanely spicy and they were not at all. We also added some Cayenne pepper to the mayo and it was so yummy (we love spicy!). We made these with both ground beef and buffalo and loved each.

I'm not a fan of lamb so we used buffalo/bison. This is one of our new, easy, yet so flavorful favorites! We could easily eat this every week. Highly recommend.

Shrimp and Quinoa

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
We gave this 4 stars but only with the addition of red chili pepper flakes. We tasted it without and it needed that spice to compliment the slight sweetness. Otherwise the recipes "as is" would only be 3.5 stars.

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
I was actually hoping for a little more based on the ratings. My hubby did not think it was filling at all and DID miss the meat. However, we enjoyed it and really liked it as a filling for breakfast burritos with just eggs added the next morning.

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

To die for! We can't eat wheat but we chop up Barbara's O's cereal for the bread crumbs which works great. I made this for Christmas dinner with this beautiful black rice and brussel sprouts w/apples. It was like we were eating at a fancy restaurant.

Pasta With Tuna Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
I eat lots of unusual things and there is little that I don't like but I was hesitant about tuna in tomoatoe sauce. Upon making this we really didn't like it for just that reason. Except I made a ton so I saved it for leftovers and a couple days later I thought it tasted 10x better. Still not sure I would make it again.
