Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2015
This is AWESOME!! But as it's hard, and expensive, to find root beer here in Spain, I made it with Coke. My friends, husband and I loved it. Thanks for the recipe!

I made this as written (except for the celery because I didn't have any). My husband and (finicky) boys loved it. Will definitely make again.

Finnish Meatballs (Lihapyorykoita)

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2014
My family likes sauce so I doubled the sauce and added some salt and 1/2 tsp of Allspice to it. My very picky boys both ate it up. Thanks

Beefaroni

My husband and kids LOVE this and ask for it all the time. I only make 2 changes, I add a little spaghetti seasoning to the tomato sauce and I add corn.

Hummingbird Cake I

Reviewed: May 12, 2014
This is AWESOME!! Husband, kids and I all loved it. Only thing I did different was double the pineapple and juice (by accident, I halved the recipe but forgot to half the pineapple.) Still turned out great. Will definitely make again and again and again.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2013
We really liked this recipe. Never crossed my mind to put spinach and strawberries together. Just made a couple changes as other reviewers suggested subbing honey for sugar and raspberry vinegar for the white wine vinegar. Also, couldn't find sesame and poppy seeds so I used raisins and other mixed nuts.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2013
We served this at our bar and it was very well received! Just made a couple of changes as recommended by other reviewers. Used 4 tbsp of flour, 1/2 tsp basil, 1/4 tsp thyme, 3 cups of milk and 1 chicken boullon cube, doubled the potatoes and used regular cream. Thanks Kristi for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
We really liked this. Just changed a couple things. Followed others' recommendations and used 1 tablespoon Worcestershire and Lawry's instead of regular salt. Then I added 1 cup of beer as some said it was too think. A bit too much pepper for our taste - will reduce next time.

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2012
This is great. I used buttermilk instead of the sour cream and left out the chives as I didn't have any. I also substituted tarragon for the dill weed (I didn't have any of that either. Still was great.

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
This was really good. We all, even my 3 and 7 year olds loved it. I doubled the spices (except the salt) as most reviewers suggested. The only other change I'll make is next time add some chicken broth to the roasting pan so that there is a little more drippings. Thanks for a new and different way to make chicken!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
These were great! My 3 and 7 year olds gobbled it up, and my husband and I liked it too. I just made a couple of changes, we don't like green peppers and onion so I left them out. I also substituted the brown sugar for 1/4 c of bbq sauce. Served it with a slice of cheese on hamburger buns. Yum.

Kelli's Fried Green Zucchini

Reviewed: May 1, 2012
This was really good. I only made a couple of minor changes. I used an eggplant (I didn't have zucchini) and instead of frying in oil I baked for 30 minutes at 375 (as another reviewer suggested). I also used Ranch dip instead of the spaghetti sauce. Will definitely make this again!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2012
This was very easy and tasty too. Both boys and husband liked it a lot. Only made a couple of changes. Added a splash of white wine to butter and italian dressing mix. I used home made cream of mushroom instead of canned because I didn't have any canned soup. I added the soup after about an hour instead of at the end too. It was a bit thick so next time I'll add about 1/4 c of milk. Thanks for sharing.

Flavorful Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2012
I really liked this recipe, but my kids didn't so much. I'll try it again though I think they were just having a bad eating day. I did add a little ginger as other reviewer suggested and let the meat marinate about an hour or so. Then I steamed the veggies a bit so that they would be softer. I also stir fried the meat with the marinade and added a little water.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE!!!!! I made a couple of minor changes, I used margarine instead of shortning (because I can't find shortning here in Spain) and I added 1 tsp each of vanilla and cinnamon to the batter as other reviewers suggested. Will make this again and again and again. . . .

Beef Stew VI

This was my first attempt at stew and we LOVED it! Thanks for a great recipe. I only made 2 changes. I substituted a cup of beer for one of the cups of water and I added a couple of bay leaves. Oh and I did follower other reviewers advice and coated the meat in flour and garlic powder before browning.

Heavenly Halibut

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
We really liked this recipe. The only things I did different was skip the butter as recommended by other reviewers, skip the hot sauce, and add parsley and basil. My husband really liked it, but told me next time to double the sauce.
