About this Cook
My mother was a single mom and worked a lot. I had two younger brothers and we didn't like waiting for dinner so we all became pretty good cooks in our own way. I do wish that I would have learned more from my Grandmother before she died.
My favorite things to cook
Lately I have been trying to cook healthy food. I've even gotten into baking my own bread and cookies. I figure if there is some good healthy stuff around I won't eat the junk. I love to fill up the smoker. MM MM MM it makes the best meat for sandwiches.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sunday dinners. Holdiays are a pain. I'll make the turkey and/or a side dish but I'm not doing the whole thing again!
My cooking triumphs
Green Chili, smoked turkey, lasagna, whole wheat bread, KITTY LITTER CAKE?, and muffins.
My cooking tragedies
Only use the microwave if you've been drinking. LOL I learned that when I was younger. I've learned from my mistakes.

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce
Great as is! I only altered the ingredients because I didn't have any spaghetti sauce. I added an extra pepper, half an onion, 4 cloves of garlic and a beer. Took out half the sauce and took the boat motor mixer to it to thicken then mixed with the remaining sauce. This made it more of a "Ball Park" version.

Potato Skillet
Great like this but I added some onions, a few extra eggs and put it on a tortilla drizzled with a little home made Green Chilli. Makes great breakfast burritos! I wrapped them all up in some foil and put them in the freezer and now I have a quick. easy and delicious breakfast in the morning. Sure beats gas station burritos!!!

Corn Dog Muffins
I love this! Absolutely wonderful and what a great idea. They were gone in a flash before halftime. Next time going to make a huge batch and try to freeze them for later.
