I love to cook! I'm pretty good at it if what my family and friends say is true. I guess it's in the genes: my paternal grandfather owned and operated a restaurant in San Francisco in the 1930's and 40's. I'm Italian, so that probably has a lot to do with it too.
My favorite things to cook
Chili, enchiladas, casseroles, family fare, homemade versions of fast food faves (less the grease and fat)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I taught all four of my sons how to cook, so that they don't have to rely on someone else to feed them. My oldest son makes a mean fettecini alfredo!
My cooking triumphs
Anything I manage to cook that is edible is a triumph for me! LOL
My cooking tragedies
The usual: burning something, over cooking, no one likes it, etc. Probably the worst was the flourless cake I tried to make for a potluck at work. It looked like rubber by the time I was done. Ended up buying a regular cake instead
