Coconut Pecan Bars

we added chocolate chips and put the pecans on top...we baked them in a 9x13 so they needed to bake for about 10 minutes longer...Very yummy and

Tie-Dye Fruity Cupcakes

I would like to start by saying we love poke cakes and thought this would make a nice portable version to take to school..And it was ! After reading the reviews I was nervous that they would be crumbly and the teacher would hate me, so I bought all name brand. Duncan Hines Classic white cake mix and Jell-o brand gelatin. They turned out great ! I double the recipe and used one small box of gelatin for each color...I only used about 1 tablespoon of each batter and they didn't overflow. We topped with whipped cream like a poke cake and they were a hit !! I tried just lemon/lime they were very good. I also tried strawberry and lemon ( strawberry lemonade) also very good but for the kids we did all three !! Hope you enjoy !!

Bruschetta Chicken Bake

this was very easy and has a great flavor however I made some changes. I have a child with milk allergy's so I added a little cheese on the chicken but put most of it on top of half...next time I would switch that put half the cheese over half the chicken and add a little on top to show which side has cheese. I also marinaded the chicken in Italian dressing and I used double the meat in tender form, didn't cube... I also doubled the topping but then realized that I still used a 9x13 pan. It was too much, so next time I won't double the topping just the meat.most of my family loved it and I had it ready for the oven in 10 min. yea !!

Mimi's Smoked Salmon Chowder

I am the Salyers' ten year old son and I made this for dinner one night. Every one adored it except my five year old brother. We did not have all the ingredients so I did some minor adjustments.I used evaporated milk instead of cream and we used canned salmon( take the big bones out) with a little liquid smoke.We also did not have any tarragon or white wine. Enjoy! All 7 of us did!!
