Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
Really excellent. I was looking for something close to the appetizer my husband and I had at Carmine's in Chicago, IL. This was pretty close. REALLY delicious.

Beef or Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
The only thing I changed was to use 1 clove of fresh minced garlic, instead of the powder. I also halved the recipe for four chicken breasts. It was delicious! I might reserve some extra marinade next time prior to marinating, boil it down, and toss with steamed broccoli for a side dish. yum!

Grilled Lemon Herb Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
I love this on chicken! Once I marinated 12 hours, which didn't seem to 'cook' the chicken, as some mention. Another time I only had 30 minutes. It was still delicious, but I'd recommend at least an hour.

Gumbo Style Chicken Creole

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
First cooked diced chicken with Creole Seasoning Blend (from this website) in olive oil. Omitted mushrooms and hot sauce. Added 1 can reduced sodium chicken broth and a few teaspoons of some more Creole Seasoning Blend to simmering mixture. Simmered for 35 minutes, which was fine. Served with two cups hot white minute rice...and needed more rice! This was outstanding! I love gumbo and never thought I'd be able to make it so easily. Follow the directions and it really does turn out great!

Creole Seasoning Blend

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
This is great! I made a 1/2 recipe to try this out (and didn't want to use up all my spices in case I didn't care for it). We loved this in Gumbo Style Chicken Creole. I can't wait to try it as a grilled chicken rub, too!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
Yum! Awesome! I followed the suggestion of adding garlic, sauteeing it with onion, celery, and carrots in butter. I added diced chicken raw with broth and seasonings and then ended by adding noddles cooked separately. My husband and I enjoyed this very much.

Simple Herb Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
I was looking for a quick rice recipe and found this one. It tastes very similar to Uncle Ben's but a little more fresh. My husband and I gobbled it up! I'll make this again!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
The best thing about this cookie is that it does not get hard after a few days. They stay absolutely so soft (all around the edges, too). They are awesome. My husband and I decided this recipe is a keeper!

Chocolate Eclair Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
This dessert truly is delightful. It's impressive and pleases all ages. I made it for a group of friends last night--they all loved it. I even made it with lite whipped topping, low fat graham crackers, and sugar free pudding. The icing I did make from scratch and made a one and half recipe of the frosting. It is key to make this ahead of time so the graham crackers soften up, making a nice moist crust. I'll make this for several up-coming events!
