About this Cook
I'm 25 and just got married in September 2007. I've always loved cooking, but now I'm starting to try new things and finding I'm pretty good at it. My husband and I enjoy drinking a bottle of wine and cooking together, on the few nights he's home during the week.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking anything new and different. I like to have to follow a recipe, then tweek it to my liking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Listening to music, drinking wine, and hanging out in the kitchen, even though it is so damn hot by the oven.
My cooking triumphs
I hosted Christmas dinner at our new house last year for the first time, and it was awesome....my sugar soy pork tenderloin was a huge hit and everyone loves my broccoli salad.
My cooking tragedies
We won't even discuss how many mishaps there have been, but thats how you learn...and I can always laugh about it.

Bill's Sausage Gravy
Delicious! This was my first time making sausage gravy and it was just as good as any restaurant. My only complaint would be that the gravy didn't have much sausagy flavor, I think because the sausage didn't leave behind many drippings. I might try something other than the maple sausage next time.

Pink Dippin' Sauce
I only made this because it had pink in the title and I was hosting a bridal shower where the theme was everything pink......but ewwww....one taste and it was down the drain. I'm not sure who would want to dip something in this oily mixture....but it wasn't me.

Pizza Dough I
Awesome...I've never made my own dough before and I'm so happy I finally did. Now I wanna make pizza all the time. I did let it rise for a while because I had time to waste, and I made a deep dish pizza in a pie pan. It was delicious. The only thing I will do differently next time is cook the dough by itself longer before adding the toppings and maybe try my baking stone.
