About this Cook
I love to travel. I think the most important thing you can give your children is the experience and hopefully the understanding of other cultures and traditions. Part of that comes of course through foods. One of our favorite things to do while visiting other regions of the Unitied States and foreign countries, is to learn about their heritage through the foods they eat.
My favorite things to cook
Because I am the mother of 4, I do not have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen, however, I enjoy making dishes that taste and appear like I spent all day on them. I like to use fresh ingredients with unique combinations and doing so as quickly as possible.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I enjoy cooking traditional Greek dishes taught to me by my mother-in-law. I love baking during the holiday season, searching for that PERFECT recipe that will become a family tradition.

Whole Wheat Beer Bread
Nice bread. Very simple. Very strong beer flavor. I would recommend brushing melted butter on top before baking. Choose your beer wisely. If you do not like beer flavor - why are you baking beer bread?????

Fresh Ginger Cookies
Very good cookie. I added 1 tsp. baking soda and 1 tsp. cinnamon. I had a very nice thick cookie with the extra tsp of baking soda.

Pebber Nodder (Danish Christmas Cookies)
I really love these cookies. They are pretty boring looking, so if you want presentation, these are not it. They do make up for it in flavor. Great with coffee or tea.
