Quinoa Black Bean Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
These are delicious and forgiving. Used green pepper (all I had) and rolled oats in place of bread crumbs (what I had). Chopped up some parsley and cilantro and added that for some color. Baked rather than fried. Served with sliced tomatoes, sliced red onion and sliced avocados with a little lime juice. Thanks for the great recipe!

Easy Homemade Pizza Dough

This recipe was excellent! When baking it's important to weigh the flour. If you don't have a food scale, the texture of the dough will tell you if you've added too much flour.

Veggie Potato Salad for a Crowd

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
I gave this recipe five stars because it can be changed to include just about any vegetable you have in your fridge. Reduced the amount of oil used and added that secret ingredient--anchovy. So many people say they don't like anchovies but it does a layer of flavor that no one recognizes an anchovy.

Whole Wheat Chapati

Thank you so much for this recipe. I'm just beginning to try my hand at Indian food and I make this very often. Sometimes add curry, tumeric, etc. to vary taste and color. It is also great for my low low low cholesterol diet.

Ethiopian Cabbage Dish

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2014
Made for a crowd. Sauteed onions and carrots on top of stove, finished in the oven. Doubled spices as recommended. Cooked potatoes separately and added last few minutes to absorb flavor. Cooking in oven allowed me to use less oil. Great recipe. Thank you!

Moroccan Chicken and Whole Grain Couscous

Great recipe-chopped garlic and sliced fresh ginger sauteed with the onions makes it a better recipe. I add chicken broth as needed rather than 48 oz.

Tomozzakala Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2013
This recipe is the perfect example of eating vegetables in season and using the best ingredients you can afford! Here in NJ, it's not tomato season yet but, once our tomatoes come in, we eat this salad with and without the cheese every day! And, if you can, splurge on some really good olive oil--a little goes a long way!

Dessert Crepes

Excellent recipe. I've also added grated lemon, orange or lime rind (or combination). Extra crepes freeze beautifully.

Capers and Halibut

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2013
I agree that the recipe as is uses too much butter. I let the wine reduce less than the recipe called for and then used about 1 tsp butter to emulsify a bit. With that change, I give it five stars. It was very yummy and much lower in fat.
