Strawberry Oatmeal Bars

25 minutes in the oven definitly isn't long enough. I didn't realize this until everything was cool and I was eating it and there was still a starchy flour-y taste to it.

Pecan Turtle Bars

I did as suggested, and used 2 cups of flour and 1 1/2 cups of pecans. I found the butter/sugar filling wasn't enough to cover the bottom crust. I used semi-sweet chocolate chips instead, I think using milk chocolate chips would have made it too sweet, and it wouldn't have held it's shape as well while being cut into bars.

Easy to make, however, the lemon filling is too thin, and the crust is way too thick. I added extra lemon juice like most people suggested.

Grandma's Sour Cream Pound Cake

This makes a tonne of cake, I barely had a bowl big enough to mix all the ingredients!! This cake is very moist and buttery, best served at room temperature to bring out the flavours. I omitted the mace and used the zest of one lemon instead, because I was in the mood for something lemon-y and fresh. I made sure to mix the eggs and butter and sugar very well since that seemed to be the biggest concern with most of the reviews. You definitely need a mixer to incorporate those three ingredients, doing it buy hand can cause them to go granular and seperate.

Mary's Sugar Cookies

The dough was hard to work with even when chilled to specifications. I didn't have almond extract so I used coconut extract instead. Flavour was buttery and not too sweet. Tastes better when frosted. Not one of my favourite cookie recipes.
