i love going to this website for ideas on what to cook for the day. and i find it really helpful. so now i decided to become a member and maybe share some of my filipino, chinese, japanese recipes. i've got desserts to share too. i will also post pictures.

My favorite family cooking traditions
my favorite is noche buena ( christmas eve) and media noche (new year's eve). we usually have rellenong manok made by my brother's chef ( they own a catering business), i love this food. we have the very famous buko (coconut) salad, leche flan, pancit, kalderetang kambing (goat stew), pork barbecue, and menudo.
My cooking triumphs
when i moved to washington state, i started missing red ribbon chocolate mousse, so i had to research on how to make one. i read a lot of recipes and just merged them into one. it was a success. now i make chocolate mousse like a pro.
My cooking tragedies
when i first made cheesecake using waterbath, it was a disaster, i forgot to cover the pan, so water came in thru the spaces. never tried or attempted to make one again. i do the no bake cheesecake instead.
