About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Love to bake & cook all kinds of food. I like to bake bread and recently purchased a bread maker so I can continue to bake bread through summer time.with the bread machine I wont be heating up the kitchen in the summer.I made a couple loaves of bread already and the machine works very well.I will have lots of fun with it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making Breakfast casseroles for the mornings of Easter Thanksgiving and Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
when my son had his first birthday 23 years ago I made him a carousel cake with horses and all it came out great.I will never forget that cake,I was so proud of it.
My cooking tragedies
I made a cornbread and added chili peppers scallions and sour cream to it.The cornbread fell it was awful I did follow a recipe, but as it turned out was not a good one.

Joan's Famous Mondel Brodt
These cookies are delicious very much like a biscotti Followed recipe exact except I use anise extract instead of orange because thats what I had on hand.I only bake once because thats the way I like biscotti and like I said these are like biscotti. I think next time I make these a combination of almond extract and dried cranberries would be good. Thanks for a great recipe.

Too Much Chocolate Cake
This Cake is the best Chocolate cake I have ever made. It does not need a glaze on top it is very yummy with the dusting of powdered sugar on top and some homemade whipped cream on the side. This is my go to cake. Thanks very much Denise for a fantastic recipe.
