Monkey Bread I

What can we say...who dosen't LOVE monkey bread? We made 2 batches; one with the traditional cinnamon sugar glaze and one with a powdered sugar icing. Both were spectacular, but tasters preferred the traditional glaze!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

This is our all time winner for 5 star dishes. Of over 30 tasters, only 3 gave it less that 5 stars!!!!! We made the recipe as directed, and it was GOOD!

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Our reviewers were in a dead heat between a 4 or a 5- so we'll give it a 4.5. Since we cooked this at school we used chicken stock for the Beer. It was a meal in itself! A favorite for sure.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

The Gang really liked this soup- mostly 5's were the score. Just about everyone wanted the recipe! The only change we made was to use chicken broth instead of water(2 very large cans).

Lobster Bisque

We are on a school budget so we used Lobster "sticks", canned crab and shrimp to flavor our Bisque. It was wonderful!We added a small can of tomato paste for color and flavor. We also added some seasoned salt and Old Bay. Remember to add the seafood for only the last 40 minutes or so. Add it too early it will be tough.

MMMMM... Brownies

No changes were made here and we liked it that way! If you don't have a box of brownies on hand, you can still enjoy some with this. VERY well received by our taste testers.

White Chocolate Cheesecake with White Chocolate Brandy Sauce

Cheesy Shrimp Meltaways

Wow were these rich! We made them 2 times, with small shrimp and with canned crab. Both were magnificent! Tips for success: Use half of the butter called for: can be a bit greasy, Use english muffins: bagels dont work as well, and Kraft Old English cheese spread: Velveeta won't cut it. They freeze well and are soooo good!

Strawberry Shortcake

This is spectacular! We added a little more sugar to the dough and as suggested only 2tsp baking powder. It was so good everyone came by looking for more!

Apple Bavarian Torte

Folks loved this- fancy, without being difficult. The hardest part was peeling and cutting all the apples. We used sweet and tart apples, but next time would skip the tart ones.

Wild Rice Soup III

We really liked this soup after we added some additional spices (curry, dry mustard and parsley) to boost the flavor. This is perfect for a cold winter’s eve when you need some comfort food.

This was a hit with the crowd! We used Granny Smith apples and followed the recipe to success. We doubled the recipe to make 2 so it spread well across 2 pans.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

This is a great way to use canned pumpkin and spices other than in a pie. Our tasters loved it. The icing was good and perfect for the "Gobs". We also thought cream cheese icing would be yummy too.
